Working Title: Magic Skirt:
From YKTTW

- How are the Sailor Senshi are able to sit down without showing anything? Even in their everyday clothing their skirts barely cover their backsides.
Because they
do get Panty Shots (
possibly "Underside Of Leotard Shots" when transformed. Still upskirts, though).
K.o.R: Ah, someone moved my comment about the "wear shorts underneath" version to the main bit. Works for me. Anyone able to find an example image for each of the three?
Cassius335: I did the move (check the page history). And I think having three images might make
Fast Eddie go a little nuts...
Shay Guy: I've done some looking in
the manga
. Only read a few chapters, but there seems to be a
lot of coming-ridiculously-close-to-panty-shots-but-not-actually-doing-them.

- Lampshaded at least twice in the new Blue Beetle comics - one character warns that staring at Giganta, a villain who can grow to giant size, can lead to spending a lot of time on highly specific porn sites. Also emphasized by Paco's approving reaction to learning that the costumes of most of the female members of the Teen Titans include skirts, and that they can fly.
...because I don't see what these have to do with this trope.
Incedentially, there
was one Elastigirl
Panty Shot in an issue of something, but I can't remember exactly where.

- Also given that Ellis apparently goes commando, the Magic Skirt is a necessity.
- Wait, what? Why does nobody tell me these things??
Ellis doesn't "go commando" anywhere in the series. Her dress is also not all that magical.
K.o.R: Sorry dude, episode 19 she does. And any skirt or dress that manages to last through an entire series of action scenes without flapping up so much as once makes it Magic.
Dentaku: I guess you mean the scene in which Ellis blasts herself out of her kidnappers' car using her telekinetic powers. It's very impressive, but hardly "going commando". And you could even argue about her skirt, since there was obviously wind inertia, with her flying through the air.
K.o.R: Actually I was referring to the bit in the hotel room where she drops her dress.
Dentaku: Ah, you refer to
that meaning of "going commando". Perhaps you'd better simply say that she doesn't wear any underwear, since not everybody is familiar with that expression; it baffled me, at least, since I am not a native English speaker, like lots of others on this Wiki.
K.o.R: Oh, my apologies, I should have considered that.

"
Card Captor Sakura never gets a panty shot, even with all the ridiculous costumes made by the aforementioned [adolescent] lolicon fan"
Who is the adolescent lolicon fan this example is referring to? I thought Sakura's costumes were made by Tomoyo, who is also ten.
K.o.R: Good point, adolescent is defined as teenage. Sooo does this make Tomoyo a loli-lolicon?
Cassius335: No, just gay.
fhqhwgads: It says that
Card Captor Sakura's lack of pantyshots was due to
Executive Meddling. But were there any of them at all in the original manga? I mean, in spite of the
Lolicon fanbase,
Card Captor Sakura is targeted squarely at
young girls. I haven't read the whole manga, but I'm having a really hard time imagining that there would be any pantyshots in it.
Pulled:
* The skirt of Tinker Bell's dress. Look at a picture of her from the front and just tell me that incredibly curving body isn't just flashing everyone behind her just by her standing. Not to mention my own mother, being an avid Tinker Bell fanatic, has a golden bell with Tinker Bell on top leaning at a 90 degree angle with her skirt only covering her lower back....but it's okay because they painted her dress green and extended the paint over her...her...flashingness. Just one more thing...how does that dress even stay on her?
Although there's really never a good look at it, one
does see bits of Tink's underpants throughout the film.
PuppetChaos: Is anyone else perplexed by the picture that the top-page quote links to, and the fact that it uses the word 'sexy'?
