Working Title: King Incognito: From YKTTW
Chuckg: Removed Aragorn's entry. He wasn't king when he was incognito, and he stopped going around incognito when he was king. For that matter, he wasn't really incognito even as Strider... the average man of Bree or Rohan might not have had the scholastic background to know that 'Chief of the Dunedain' equalled 'Isildur's Heir', but anybody with the relevant lore skills could have figured it out even before Aragorn announced it, and generally did.
Scifantasy: I fixed up the Zeus entry; he was known to do the reward/punish bit too. (See Philemon and Baucis.) —- Das: Haroun ar-Rashid as a real life example probably doesn't count; the only "evidence" of this is, well, 1001 Nights itself, whereas the real Haroun reportedly hated Baghdad with a passion. |
