Susan Davis: Didn't this page used to be Kansai Regional Dialect? When did it change?
Chrome Newfie: I was under the impression that Tina Foster was from Hakata, in Kyuushu. Did they change that in the anime? Tyrfing: She was an American, and as such was born in America. XD She did however spend much of her life in Fukuoka (which is in Kyuushu). Saiya Jedi: And Hakata is in Fukuoka. Tyrfing: I'm pretty sure that it was noted (in the ADV liner notes) that the shop keeper in Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai had an 'Edo' accent (which is apparently different from a Tokyo accent). Saiya Jedi: From memory, there's something called an "Edogawa" accent (unrelated to the the writer Qube: I thought southern Osaka sounded cute! It makes an already cuddly anime character even cuddlier. |
