Silent Hunter: Would the Alias episode where Olivia d'Abo is forced to sing "Pop Goes The Weasel" before being blown up an example of this trope?
Guesss Who: Pretty much all of Johnny Mathis is really spooky now. Kilyle: Does the... wait, Johnny Mathis? Huh? What'd I miss? ...anyway, is the "Eensy-weensy spider" song from... what, 8-Legged Freaks, maybe? ... does that count? Seanette: I recall a rather nice Johnny Mathis song ("Wonderful, Wonderful") used on The X Files, in the episode "Home", arguably one of the squickiest, creepiest episodes they ever did (and one of my favorites). I also find "Hokey Pokey" a bit unsettling, after hearing it over and over in the episode "Chinga". Masami Phoenix: I removed the following twittle from the Pirates example, as it's got nothing to do with this trope and is best fitted for It Just Bugs me.
Wardog: Didn't Alien³ open with footage of a facehugger breaking into someone's cryopod, to the tune of Twinkle, twinkle, little star? |
