Sonic The Hedgehog does
not count. He's fast because of the style of the game, but no more fragile than any other platform character. In general, platform characters don't really go here.

Eponymous Kid: Deleted all that stuff about how fragile speedsters are more often women, because, looking at the examples, they
aren't. Any character can be
played fast, but Vega and Cammy are in completely different universes when it comes to speed and fragility.
Zeke: Cut this:
- Quickman from Mega Man Battle Network 2 is a kind of subversion. His character design is all about speed, and he does dart around the battlefield in a blur - but in practice, his battle feels just like Knightman's from the same game (as well as the armored cannon viruses), but with more movement. Most attempts to hit him while he isn't attacking will result in the attack being blocked. The effect is represented by Quickman moving his hands quickly in front of him to deflect or disperse the attack, but it's clearly a case of "hit him when his shield is down".
Maybe so, but that's really reaching. I love
Mega Man, but we don't have to squeeze something from that franchise into every trope. "Subversions" of this trope are suspect anyway. It would be a subversion if MegaMan had
said "Well, he's fast, so he'll probably be weak" and turned out to be wrong, or something like that. (Also, I'm pretty sure QuickMan blocks with his boomerangs, not his hands — that's why you can't hit him until he throws them.)
