Working Title: Five Bad Band: From YKTTW
Adeon: Regarding Xykon's group from OOTS, I don't think that Tsukiko really qualifies as an Evil Genius, she's more like The Brute while Redcloak doubles as the evil genius. —- Diddgery: I know that Skies of Arcadia's Vaulan Empire could fit in here as well, but I get past Galcian as The Big Bad and Ramirez as The Dragon and get stuck. It's hard trying to figure out where the other five admirals fit.. Vigoro is probably The Brute, and De Loco the Evil Genius and maybe The Dark Chick (because he's so dang zany), but I'm not sure what to do with the other three. —- Guest: On the Five Bad Band entry for Mega Man Star Force where do Lyra and Libra fit in? KJMackley: I took out these because while they may form a similar team dynamic, they are mostly just a Quirky Miniboss Squad. Big Bad and The Dragon are very specific story roles, these teams all combine into one robot. Transformers G1 Combaticons
Morgan Wick: I'm not sure if shoehorning in the Linear Guild really works, if only because the entry says "never less than four". The odd thing about this trope is that the equivalents to the Hero and Lancer have more separate roles from the other three than in a Five Man Band, allowing both roles to double as one of the other three (witness the large Big Bad-to-Evil Genius correlation). Mouser The Linear Guild is a Terrible Trio, expanded to The Psycho Rangers by disposable characters. Not every evil Five Man Band has the Five Bad Band dynamic. Richard AK: Is there any particular reason that someone had to erase the WWE example, and to do so without explain why in the discussion thread? |
