Sean Tucker: Can I please be unbanned? I was (in my opinion unfairly) marked as a vandal, due to one ill-advised page move (which had good intentions behind it) and one edit to Wiki Vandal that was intended for humor. Considering I've made quite a few constructive edits and launched a couple of pages, I think I should be brought back. IP address is 98.200.201.59 if you decide to unban me.

Hey, I was banned a while back and I'm wondering if I still am. Mc Caber

Mr Etaoin Shrdlu: You are, like, the Lumper God or something. I am honored to have edited the same wiki as you.

Unknown Troper: My apologies - i did not mean to come across as a single minded nincompoop - it just irritated me to see kchishol fill half the entries with infomation on the civil rights era when that's often not part of the Hollywood shorthand - many think Fonzie and Leave it to Beaver not MLK Jr and Rosa Parks - and Mission Impossible and James Bond not Malcolm X and Betty Friedan.

Mister Six: Hi, man. I notice that the Hellblazer image has been replaced with a gif. Should I use gifs from now on?

Citizen: Please don't. ^^ I guess 140KB was too large. Replacing it with "gif" is a bit odd, though, considering what it does to the picture...

Fast Eddie: Yeah, it was the 140KB size. The transform to gif was a quick way to deflate it to about a quarter of the size. No real preference for a file format, just whatever does as much as it can with as little bandwidth as it can.

Mister Six: Ah, right. In that case you might want to nuke the animated gif I just put in Aside Glance. Sorry.

Fast Eddie: Yup, I nuked it. 770KB is kinda chunky. Also, moving pictures on the page make it hard for some folks to read the page. Not that one, so much, but some of them can get to be a real eye-blaster.

Mister Six: Fair enough. I'd seen animated gifs about the place before so I thought I'd jump in with that one. I'll stick to (small!) static images in the future. Cheers.

Aya:Got on yesterday and noticed the draft button.^_^ Thanx! Scratch that- what's up with the draft button? I just tried it and it led to this.

Fast Eddie: Seems to be working okay, to me.

Morgan Wick: Draft keeps it off RC but it's still possible to find the entry in other ways.

Aya: I've got it figured out now, gracias.

Morgan Wick: What was with the index markups accompanying that comment?

Man Without A Body: I'd love to get an upload account, as you have advised, but there's something wrong with the linking on my computer, and the long and the short of it is that I can't get to the upload page, nor can I suggest a trope at YKTTW. I'll try to cut down on the size of images, though.

Big T: It seems that something has nuked the Wiki Tech Wish List again. I'd restore it from the history, but that's a bit out of date, I think. I know I contributed yesterday, even though the latest edit was made two days ago. Maybe that's gone, no big deal. I just wanted you to make that decision. My guess it it was the & eacute problem again.

Sara: Hey, mind resetting my user account? I forgot my password.

Indigo Hi — hopefully you're the right person to point this at. Typing the domain in by itself: tvtropes.org produces some sort of Arabic site and a link to a UK You Tube site that begins with Qabandi was here. Google search of the site will bring one in the normal way.

Adam850: Fixed. Check out the forum thread on this, http://tvtropes.org/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1398&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Dragon Hawk: Thanks for the assist. Me gets Death By Irony.

T-T-T: Um, for some reason I'm getting 403 errors everywhere. I think you're an admin. Also, I can view the wiki, just not without a proxy. Did I get banned? If so sorry. Just that major edits to any main page are always a Berserk Button for me since typically I use the main page as an index of sorts and changes always confuse me. Shouldn't have gotten so hyper over it though. Or put it back in when it got edited out the first time.

Indigo: Just leaving smooches for you, Fast Eddie, because you rock. You are calm when others are not and that's an awesome trait. So I thought I'd tell you how cool that is, and that I appreciate all your hard work here. Not kissing up, nor a case of "what do you want?". Just sincere.

Krid: I registered my handle back when it didn't actually do anything, and I've long since forgotten the password I used. Any chance if it getting reset? Krid at roundthebend.com, if you can help. ^^;;

Did you have a save file or copy of the Brother sister incest troper tales page? if so can you email it to me at fromageking333@yahoo.ca it was really interesting, too bad it had to taken down. P.S. post here saying where or not you will send it or whatever as I don't check my e-mails often.

Frank75: Today I requested the page Characters.Monster to be cut since it was almost empty. This was true at that time, but shortly after someone put a lot of effort in it. Now I see that it was still deleted (and someone else started to rebuild it... it's complicated). Could you restore it, so the work of the other troper wasn't for nothing? TIA.
Rebochan: There's been an edit war going on in the Batman And Robin article since...well...December. It has finally boiled down to an endless debate over whether the introduction is allowed to point out that the movie was not well-regarded and appears on many "worst films of all time" lists. Since one of the parties has essentially dug in their heels and insisted on calling an admin but apparently refuses to themselves...I am doing so.
Barano: Just a note: Unit Omega did it again. Please do something about it, it's annoying as hell.
Hey, as an admin, could you please help with the edit war in the America Saves The Day article? It's been going on for a while. A person keeps making justifying edits and is apparently convinced that Independence Day is a sarcastic lampshading of the trope, and anyone who doesn't agree hates America. Thanks in advance.
Mijzelffan: what do you have against pictures in fetish fuel pages if I may ask you?
Syckls: I frankly can't understand why you deleted the picture and the Statler and Waldorf joke from the Stinger page on August 15. Both of those make the page so much better. Seeing as you're an admin, I'll withhold my judgment for now. I'll wait for two days (until August 21), and if no explanation appears within that time, I will put the picture and the stinger back on the page.
Man Without A Body: I know we've had our disagreements in past, but I see that we agree (or did) about the Friendly Neighbourhood Vampires picture, for which I am currently in an Edit War. I don't want to be some whiny guy appealing to an admin to get my way, but I was wondering if you could settle the issue with some authority. People are putting up that picture of the girls with the eggs, and I think The Count from Sesame Street is a better example. I am not alone in this opinion. Can you help?
Addy The Pawn Slayer: Perhaps being overly reactionary/defensive, but I still feel an urge somehow to confirm that I didn't readd the spoilers to the description of Inglourious Basterds. Can't remember who did, but that page has seen a fair bit of activity today. I also apologise in case I'm Completely Missing The Point by assuming your "really, this means you" edit summary refers to me (though it was me who put the spoilers there the first time admittedly, not knowing it's not allowed). Guess I just don't want to get off on the wrong foot with an admin so soon into my Troping career! *will without question clarify further such issues before editing - won't happen again to be sure*
I was banned from the site awhile back for stupidly using a Firefox add-on that was vandalizing every page I edited without my realizing it. I have since gotten rid of said add-on, and have come to apologize and grovelingly request that my IP (68.42.65.11) be de-banninated. Especially since I share an Internet connection with several other fans of the site, and I feel really bad about their being unable to use it.

Strannik.: For some reason, I can't edit any pages when I am logged in as myself. As far as I know, I haven't done anything ban-worthy. Of course, it's always possible that I just happened to share an IP address with a banned user. Either way, I would very much appreciate it if you could unban it. Much obliged.
  • And actually, now that I think about it, it seems apparent that my nickname was banned, not the IP address (since I can edit just fine anonymously). Anyway, I would really like to see the situation resolved as soon as humanly possible. If I was banned on purpose, I would like to know what I did wrong (as far as I know, I haven't violated any rules, but there's always a chance I'm mistaken).

My handle is Ryan the Game Master. I seem to have forgotten my password. Can it be reset?

Frank75: Some guy from the IP 82.94.180.240 vandalized the Simpsons page. Just so you know.

Frank75 again: Sorry to bother you about this, but some stupid user screwed up The Contributors page (letters K and L, to be precise). Is there an easy way to restore it?

Westrim: I don't know what's going on, but this is starting to weird me out. Janitor is near as I can tell refusing to talk to me at all about her bans on me and just deleted a forum thread I made that was not in the least disruptive. Since she wont answer me, please Fast Eddie, tell me what is going on here.

Lordnecronus: I'm having a bit of a problem... Sorry, the problem's been solved courtesy of the "refresh" button. I apologise for putting this on your discussion page.
