Shire Nomad: Would Locked In A Room count?
Danel: This sounds like one of the recognised subgenres of Doctor Who stories: "The Base Under Siege". I believe that one series from the Sixties consisted almost entirely of such tales, but more commonly there's one or two a series.

Off Side 7: What exactly is the difference between this and Closed Circle? They feel similar enough to at least be sub-types of the same trope.
