Twin Bird: So...what's the spoiler policy for this article? I've taken the liberty of changing the tags to hide everything that's an open question at first or meant to come as a major surprise when it's revealed; I've definitely unspoilered everything relating to Nanase's magic use, since Greg alludes to it in her very first storyline. I've also unspoilered that Grace's brothers were supersoldiers, since that's how they're first mentioned. I've also narrowed a few spoilers, in accordance with the policy of "err on the side of TMI." Finally, on the converse, I've tagged for 48 hours, since knowing that fact will clue you into Nanase's sexual preference well before you're supposed to know.
Cut this: (Despite the fact that it doesn't have a lot of fanservice content when compared with other webcomics, the fandom actually has its own words for it: Cheesecake (referring to girls) and Beefcake (referring to guys, and it's a lot less common).
As cheese/beefcake are pre-existing terms.
Filby: Took out the second quote. It's just not very emblematic of the series.
Adam850: Guess what? Every single external link now has to be changed, due the the site being revamped. Good luck with that, EGS fans. The Recreator: Finished. I also swapped out all instances of "www.elgoonishshive.com" for "www.egscomics.com", just in case. And it only took 1 and 1/2 hours, too. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go lie down for a while... *thud* Twin Bird: I'm not sure I buy that anyone's been "Brother Chucked," since none of them were really regulars in the first place. Lord Tedd and Nioi are due for a return when(ever) Shive gets back to their story thread, but that's The Chris Carter Effect; Sensei Greg has always been a tertiary character. And I'm not sure what it means for Cloning Blues to be "subverted, averted, and ripped into tiny little pieces," but it sounds vaguely complain-ey. Callix: Rewrote the First Girl Wins example. Tedd/Grace isn't a competition, so it's not the trope, and Ellen/Nanase is a long way from being resolved. Even if it is, both Nanase and Ellen were in relationships with other people before each other (whether or not you count Second Life). |
