Ninjacrat: I made a picture based on the text on the page right now. I don't have the stones to enquire whether it could replace said text, but it seemed apt so I'll throw it out here to see if anyone else laughs.

Sci Vo: Well, as the one who copied it over from the Notable Webcomics entry and fleshed it out a bit, I sure laughed! It's amazing how well it fits.

Seth: I strongly recommend using that instead of the entry. But maybe it would be best to get permission first, or do you think that it is covered by parody?

Sci Vo: He seems to think it's cool. Check out all the fancomics that he hosts on his site, including a blank template. Here's some proofreading:
  1. Maybe change "1000+" to "over a thousand"? I wasn't really happy with it when I wrote it the short way. Also, if "Dinosaur Comics" could be italicized and the author added, like "Dinosaur Comics by Ryan North", that would be cool. If that's too long, we probably don't have to specify that it's a webcomic. Maybe something like this:
    • Almost all of the strips (over a thousand!) of Dinosaur Comics by Ryan North contain the same six panels of art:
  2. "composed" and "proportion" are misspelled, and it's missing the dash between "of" and "proportion".
  3. "Dromiceiomimus" is misspelled. A space and a dash after "Dromiceiomimus" (like the one after "T-Rex") would work well.
  4. A dash and a space in front of "and" would help establish the continuation. Also, maybe change the exclamation point to a space and a dash?
  5. If the exclamation point in the previous panel is changed to a space and a dash, then making the "A" in "All" lower case and adding a dash and a space in front of it would help.
  6. Pure comedy gold!

Ninjacrat: Editorial changes made. Phew! Get it here.

I guess I need some kind of password for the wiki image uploader. Would someone who has such a password do the honours?

Seth: Thats done, you can get a password on the media uploader from the Contact Form

Sci Vo: Almost perfect! In the second panel, there's a misplaced dash. It should be "and out-of-proportion" instead of "and-out-of proportion".

Ununnilium: ...awesome.

Adam850: I got a response from Ryan North:
"Hah, nice! The comic totally sells it. Brilliant!
-Ryan"
So he seems OK with it.

Cassius335: I'm curious; Why would the existence of Alt Text stop the comment making sense?

Sci Vo: Because there wouldn't be any point in making that comment if the Alt Text page existed? It was just my idea of a little joke.

Sci Vo (later): ...and now that it exists and I've changed the comment, this is what won't make any sense. hehehe

Meta4: Regarding the comic, the font is a bit off and It Just Bugs Me. So I made a version with the same font that Ryan North uses (Lucida Console, size 11 or 13 depending on your graphic program). Any objections to this version going up?

Adam850: Nope, do it.

Schrodingers Duck: Why was the picture split? I can understand making it a bit smaller, but the split just seems to be making it wider again. Plus, it breaks the word "on" so it becomes "All while stomping oblaaaaaaaahn a woman and a house. Is there something technical I'm missing here?

Fast Eddie: Yeah, really bad fix. We finally had to impose a width restriction on images, because chasing after too-wides was getting really old. This entry having pretty much the only wide image that serves an actual purpose on the wiki, it is getting pinched by the change. I'll puzzle out a better fix. // later: Well, that's a little better.

alliterator: I tried my own fix for it, since I didn't like how long the other image was. This turned out a little better. Now if only I could get right of those in-between spaces!

Janitor: I made a css change that helps. Hit refresh to make sure you have the latest css. The lines that are in there now are a lot thinner, and are due to the way the image was chopped up in thirds. That is, badly. I think this is the original, if you want to try for a cleaner chop-up.

alliterator: Thanks, Janitor! I chopped it more cleanly (each slice is now 250px by 500 px). Et voila!

WVI: Excellent description.

Orange Aipom: Is there a way I can read all of the alt texts more easily?
