Would the Death Star scene in Episode IV count as one of these?
YYZ: I'd include a reference to that one Gnarls Barkley video here, but I don't know what to say.
Ununnilium: Why'ja take out "Get up on the hydra's back!"? It's from a good example of a Colossus Climb, and it's memetic.

Tanto: Yeah, I'm putting Truth In Television in the same category as The Oldest Ones In The Book for now: that is, way, way overused. I can't speak for any princesses, but she definitely has times when she's trying to defeat me... :p Dark Sasami: As for Truth In Television and The Oldest Ones In The Book being overused, as long as there aren't things in there that actually don't meet the criteria, I can't see how they're overused. Ununnilium: HeartBurn Kid, well, that's a good point, but still. `` Dark Sasami, there are examples in there which are only there due to waaaay overstretching the point of the trope. Sci Vo: Was this named for Shadow of the Colossus? I don't want to assume. Insanity Prelude: You said it needed sorting, so I sorted it. There were a couple I wasn't entirely sure about, so I hope I got them in the right categories. |
