Celebrity Paradox launched as Celebrity Paradox: From YKTTW
Describing him as a star of TV would be a bit of an exaggeration, but Williams had appeared in a few comedy specials before he landed the role of Mork. And don't forget that Mork first appeared in Happy Days.

movie007: I just added in the Futurama example, as I just finished watching "A Head in the Polls". I wonder if something should be added in the main section, though - about the concept of the Celebrity Paradox in Animated Series. After all, in Animated Series, the characters wouldn't necessarily resemble the actors who play them. One exception to the rule, though, would be if the Animated Series was spawned from a live-action series or movie.

UHF had, if I recall correctly, Ghandi II: No More Mr Passive Resistance. Why is there no mention of Being John Malkovich on this page? I don't even know if this is a subversion or what, but someone smarter than me probably does. Yue Ryong: Should the peculiar question of what Douglas Adams was doing in the Doctor Who universe while he was writing for Doctor Who in ours go in here? Gizensha: Considering the Sixth Doctor met him in one of the audios, and the occasional references to indicate that Hitchhikers, in some way shape or form, exists in Canon, probably [Seeing as both author and work seem to be canon... Or as close to canon as that mess has, anyway]. I'm personally wondering if the peculiar aversion in Steven Moffat's Jeckyl should be added (Which not only has the book on which it is an adaptation exist in the work, but the fact the book exists is plot-significant.) I can't help but think the page could use having the examples categorised, given the amount of them, first, however. Regiment: HA HA HA! It's because of Voyager that Obama's President! I love it! (I know it's not that simple, but it's hilarious.) DoomTay: Would it be considered an aversion when a character is initially mistaken to be the actor playing him? |
