Looney Toons: As is almost every technical innovation in the media field, at least at first. Give it a few years, it may yet come back to more mainstream genres.

Tabby: Only if it also includes Steve's porn rant from the first season of Coupling.
Flo: I take offense at that part: "... since the computer-generated characters and sequences are of lower quality than one can achieve on the typical PC of today using only free software such as DAZ|Studio, POV-Ray and Blender." Both Blender and POV-Ray are high-quality tools and are at least comparable to Maya. (And POV-Ray is not as good as Render Man, but one of the best renderers.)
Red Shoe: There's nothing deprecating about the statement, the whole point is that the free tools available today can do better than the best tools money could buy in '88.
