Isn't the group from The Mummy the Magi?
I didn't want to just change it as it might not just be a typo.
-Rodeo Clown
Just curious, why is the Second Foundation under passive observer? If my memory of the books is right, they weren't exactly the most passive group around. -Mal Renyolds whitetigah: I second the above comment. While they were mostly observers, they did quite a bit of pulling and tugging the galaxy's history in the right direction. Mark Z: Moved the Watchers' Council from Buffy to the second section, since they do a lot more than just watch. Do the Watchers (as in, "Uatu the...") in the Marvel universe fit this trope, or am I missing some subtle detail? In a loose sense, would not Star Trek's "Prime Directive" serve this trope? As a rule of passive observation (supposedly letting new societies alone to settle their own destinies without interference) it could qualify, as would The Original Series Captain Kirk's breaking of it whenever convenient and/or necessary to the plot. |
