Literature: Air
Air: Or, Have Not Have, by Geoff Ryman.

Air is the tale of Chung Mae, an illiterate peasant woman in a backwater village which is suddenly turned upside down by the incoming arrival of a cyberspace-like global mind network called Air.

OK, that is an interesting sci-fi premise.

Because of an accident during Air's first demonstration, her brain became "co-habitated" by the mental self of a cranky village elder. Sometimes she can derive good advice from the old lady, sometimes she just gets in the way.

I guess that's a bit perpendicular to the main premise, but I can deal with that.

Also she performed oral sex on a guy from the Big City and now has a fetus growing in her stomach.

What.

Like most of Ryman's books, Air mixes reality, science fiction, magical realism and para-sexuality in a way that is hard to convey to the layman. If you're interested by the premise, give it a try.

Wait let's get back to the stomach fetus part ag—
