In Japan, {{Large Ham}}s are known as "daikon", meaning "white radish". [[AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle And Now You Know]].

Now, on to business...

----
* [[WorldOfHam The entire cast]] of ''Anime/DogDays''.
* ''Manga/ChronoCrusade''
** Aion very, very much applies. In his first appearance, he is introduced by Biblical Plagues out of nowhere, including a black sun and a red moon. When he first appears on stage, he is introduced by an earth-quake, and immediately proclaims that he will fight against {{God}}, and {{Breaking Speech}}es ''everyone'', pointing out how he 'saved' them from God.
** [[TheHero Rosette Christopher]] also counts, due to her being extremely HotBlooded and often overly dramatic. In the manga she occasionally makes Aion look relatively restrained in comparison.
* ''Anime/TheBigO''
** Schwartzwald. In contrast to the largely taciturn cast, Schwartzwald delivers long, rambling monologues [[NoIndoorVoice VERY LOUDLY]], often while setting things on fire. Also applies to Beck.
** After becoming the pilot of Big Fau, Alex Rosewater gets a number of hammy lines as well.
* For [[WorldOfHam an anime full of over the top characters]], Master Asia from ''[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam G Gundam]]'' takes OTT and corny to new levels.
** "This hand of mine is '''burning red'''. Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory and to defeat you! ''Bakunetsu'' '''God''' '''''Finger'''''!!"
** Domon does have '''[[MemeticMutation THE HELP OF KYOJI!]]'''
* [[MemeticMutation Prince Ali]], '''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 HAMMY IS HE]]''', [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 Ali Al-Saachez]]!
** [[LargeHam Gra]]'''[[LargeHam ham]]''' [[HotBlooded Aker]], a.k.a. [[{{Otaku}} Mr. BUSHIDO]], is ''incredibly'' hammy as well, especially in season two.
*** In the game ''Gundam SD G generation wars'' he gets even hammier; repeat after him; God '''GRAHAM FINGER!!!'''
*** If using his Mr. Bushido identity when performing the God Finger, he goes: "LOOK!! BUSHIDO IS BURNING RED!!!"
** '''[=AEU=] Ace!''' Patrick Colasaur isn't far behind in the scale hamminess either.
** Nor, for that matter, is the epicness that is Hallelujah.
--->"You're all so dependant on Veda. ''You don't have what it takes to beat us anymore!''"
--->"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THE RESURRECTION OF THE SUPER-SOLDIER!"
* ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam0083StardustMemory'''s Anavel Gato with Four words: SOLOMON! I HAVE RETURNED!!!! [[spoiler:*wipes out EFSF fleet with a nuke*]]
* The BigBad of ''Anime/TurnAGundam'',Gym Ghingn'''[[FanNickname ham]]''', manages to take complete control of any scene he is in. Creator/TakehitoKoyasu's performance is so amazingly over-the-top that it has to be seen to be believed; Gym remains one of the most entertaining ''Gundam'' villains to watch just because of the utterly bombastic ham he exudes.
** No mention of Gym's hamminess is complete without his famous: "GEKKOOOUUUCHOOOOUUUUU DE ARUUUUUU!"
** Resident CharClone Harry Ord can be a bit of a ham as well.
--->'''UNIVEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRSSSEEEEEEEE!!!'''
* Carta Issue of ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamIronBloodedOrphans'' is a [[Creator/KikukoInoue 17-year-old]] Gjallarhorn Officer well known for being hammy in-and-out-universe, and frequently [[TalkingIsAFreeAction talks mid-fight]].
* ''Mazinger'' series:
** ''Anime/MazingerZ'': Kouji is the poster boy for {{Hotblooded}}, NoIndoorVoice TheHero with a tendence to make dramatic speeches accompanying them with dramatic gestures. However, he was completely [[EvilIsHammy out-hammed]] by Big Bad Dr. Hell. After all, Kouji was capable to talk in a normal fashion... but Hell always needed acting in the most dramatic way possible, constantly MilkingTheGiantCow while he made dramatic speeches seated on his throne or on the top of a wind-battered cliff overlooked by the full Moon.
** ''Anime/GreatMazinger'': Tetsuya could be a LargeHam... but TheDragon Ankoku Daishogun/Great General of Darkness was large in ALL aspects. Not only he was a thirty-meters-tall, bearded badass with a flowing BadassCape trailing behind him and a BFS dangling from his belt, but his dramatic speeches and {{Badass Boast}}s ("The strength of the General of Darkness, commander of seven armies of Mykene… Now it shall descend upon you!") were legendary.
** ''Anime/UFORoboGrendizer'': Unlike Kouji and Tetsuya, Duke was calm and reserved most of the time. however, he still WAS a {{Hotblooded}} character, and when something fired him up or got him riled up or angry, he easily was a larger ham than them.
* ''Manga/YuYuHakusho'' has quite a few of these. Hiei, during his time as the first BigBad, arrogantly gloats nonstop from the moment he shows up to the moment he's defeated. After his defeat, however, he turns to the good side and becomes TheStoic instead. The much later villain Seaman is another character who has incredibly hammy while a villain but pretty normal afterwards. The biggest ham in the series is [[InsistentTerminology The Beautiful Suzuka]], who, despite having a fair bit of villainous lead-in time, and having a lot of flash (in more ways than one), receives a beating of a lifetime for his trouble. See CurbStompBattle.
** There's a case for Kuwabara as well,especially when he talks to Yukina. He's kinda voiced by Creator/ChristopherSabat so it's to be expected.
** Kazuya [[spoiler: aka Sensui when taken over by the SplitPersonality under this name]]. [[EvilIsHammy EASILY the hammiest of his "posse"]] [[spoiler: aka Sensui's ''seven'' [[SplitPersonality split personalities]] ]], he furiously screamed all of his lines while [[ClusterFBomb swearing like a sailor]] and then using his ArmCannon to shoot [[spoiler: Yusuke]] in the legs, all for [[ForTheEvulz the pleasure of makig him squirm in pain]]
* Yugi from ''Anime/YuGiOh'' ("DRAW! MONSTER CARD!"), voiced in English by '''[[Creator/DanGreen DAN GREEN]]''', one of several stock actors for [[Creator/FourKidsEntertainment 4Kids]] dubs.
** And then he got the perfect role for him: [[Anime/GaoGaiGar Final Fusion... APPROVED!!]]
** In the uncut version of ''Anime/YuGiOh'' his LargeHam tendency is taken UpToEleven, by the end of Yugi's first duel with Kaiba, Creator/DanGreen and Creator/EricStuart have gleefully leapt straight into ChewingTheScenery territory and are shouting their lines at each other. [[NarmCharm And it is awesome.]]
--->'''Kaiba:''' NO WAY!! IT'S-IT'S EXODIA! YOU'RE SAYING YOU PERFORMED A MIRACLE?!?!
** One of the voice actors for the original series was Marc Thompson, aka Duke Devlin, Rafael, Valon, and a few others. Then in ''Yu-Gi-Oh! GX'' he voices Dimitri, a copycat duelist who steals Yugi's deck and copies not only his dueling style, but also his mannerisms. The thing is, he copies ''Yami Yugi's'' mannerisms, thus giving us the unique pleasure of listening to Marc Thompson imitate Dan Green's Large Ham and take it UpToEleven. [[NarmCharm And it is also awesome.]]
--->'''Dimitri:''' "What I'm going to do is play ''this'' -- [[YinYangBomb Dedication Through Light And Darkness]]! It takes Dark Magician, and turns him into something even ''more'' powerful, the ''legendary'' Dark Magician ''of Chaos''. '''Chaos Magician, RISE!'''...Oh, and in case you haven't done the math yet, Bladedge doesn't have the most attack points anymore - ''Chaos Magician does!''"
--->'''Jaden:''' "Twenty-eight hundred!?"
--->'''Dimitri:''' "[[BigYes YES!]] ''Now watch them all in action!'' '''Scepter Strike!'''"
*** All that while the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon theme plays, which is a theme that rivals the original OST of Yu-Gi-Oh! in terms of awesomeness. Watch for yourself [[http://www.watchcartoononline.com/yu-gi-oh-gx-episode-18-english-dubbed here]].
** Jack Atlas was like this in ''both'' versions of ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'' (even more in the dub, where he called himself "The Master of Faster"). Of course, he ''was'' in show business. He mellowed a little after his HeelFaceTurn... But not completely.
** Rival characters tend to all have their moments, even the less overall hammy ones like Kaito and Revolver.
** In fact, Pro League Duelists in general are like this, which is justified, seeing as they do it in front of an audience.
* In all versions of ''Franchise/YuGiOh'' ([[Manga/YuGiOh manga]], [[Anime/YuGiOh anime]], or dub), Maximillion Pegasus. In the ''Anime/YuGiOh'' dub by 4Kids, Marik was mischaracterized as a LargeHam, [[HilariousInHindsight which in retrospect is a good thing]], as it spawned the awesomeness that is Marik from ''WebVideo/YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries''.
--> '''Marik:''' "FOOLISH FOOL! There ''are'' no women in ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' There are only extremely girly men, and ''I'' am the most girly of them all!" \\
'''Pegasus:''' "Keep telling yourself that."
* ''Anime/DragonBallZ''
** Frieza, especially as portrayed by Linda Young. When he's in full VillainousBreakdown, he's practically screaming his line:
-->'''Frieza''': Now learn. LEARN WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE MOST POWERFUL BEING IN THE UNIVERSE!!
** The Ginyu Force have few rivals in the show when it comes to hamminess. They are so dramatic and over-the-top, other characters often find themselves stunned into silence as they pose like evil alien Power Rangers.
** Cell, who becomes hammier as he becomes more perfect. By the time of his death, he was eating the scenery.
** And let's not get into [[Creator/ChristopherSabat Chris Sabat]] (Vegeta and Armstrong) and Creator/KyleHebert (teenage Gohan (in other words, '''THE GREAT SAIYAMAN''') and the narrator, as well as Kamina).
** The entire dub cast listing of Dragon Ball Z may as well have said "Chris Sabat" (Major Roles: Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, Kami, Shenron, Grandpa Gohan, King Vegeta, Porunga, Zarbon, Jeice, Recoome, Nappa, Adolf Hitler, etc)
* Another 4Kids offender is the voice of Dan Green's ''Anime/YuGiOh'' rival Kaiba, Creator/EricStuart...though that isn't the only anime he's done this in. [[{{Anime/Pokemon}} I AM A FLAMING MOLTRES!]]
** To be fair, Kaiba/Stuart did deliver some downright bitchy lines in the Duelist Kingdom arc.
* [[spoiler: Vector]] from ''Anime/YuGiOhZEXAL''. Done in a very devilish, cruel sort of way. The amount of psychological damage he inflicted on a ''13 year old boy'' is scary.
* Ryoma of ''Manga/{{Jin}}'' gets hammier with his every appearance, scaring the hell out of Jin. You don't have any money? '''HA! ''I don't have any money either''! POWAH!!!'''
* Creator/CrispinFreeman has been known to do some stuff like this: Alucard (mentioned below) and Heughes from Baten Kaitos Origins.
** For ultimate hamminess, see his role as AxCrazy ArtificialHuman Albedo from ''VideoGame/{{Xenosaga}}''.
*** Or [[Anime/CodeGeass Jeremiah "Orange" Gottwald]] ('''TASTE THE STORM OF MY LOYALTY!!!''').
*** [[VideoGame/SoulSeries "I will not fail, even if I have to sacrifice my life"!]]
* ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann''
** [=K-HAMina=]. Most of the main characters get a moment of HotBlooded or five, but Kamina's tendency to be this way ''constantly'' makes him ask "'''WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!'''"
** He doesn't have just a Large Ham. It's a freaking Epic Ham!
** The Anti Spiral brings epic levels of ham in the final confrontation, at least in the English dub. "BURRRN IN THE EVERLASTING HELLFIRE OF CREATION! BE '''UTTERLY ANNIHILATED'''!! DOWN TO THE '''LAST! SCRAP! OF DEEEEEEEEEE-ENNNNNNNNN-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"'''
*** Then again, he was effectively [[spoiler: throwing the Big Bang at the heroes]]. With great power comes great hamminess or something.
*** The Japanese version was also hammy, but only when it/they are being HotBlooded and fighting. Its normal tone of voice is a CreepyMonotone, just for added contrast.
*** In the movie remake "Lagann-hen", the Anti-Spiral is so '''hammy''' it borders on {{narm}}, considering he was portrayed as emotionless before.
*** Justified by Nia's dialog, nobody can supress the Spiral instinct (read, Hammy hot-bloodedness) forever.
* ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'' brings us Major Alexander Louis Armstrong, a flamboyantly hammy muscle man with a big boomy voice, the strange tendency to sparkle, and a serious love for losing his shirt. You could say '''this trope has been passed down the Armstrong family line FOR GENERATIONS'''!
** His sister, General Olivier Mira Armstrong, is hammy in her own way - except where Alex is PlayedForLaughs, Olivier is always ''dead serious''. Whenever the two siblings are together, they will inevitably enter a raging battle of HamToHamCombat.
** Major Alex Louis Armstrong: THE ONLY MAN ALLOWED TO SPARKLE!!!!!!!!!!
*** When Major Armstrong meets Sig Curtis, they communicate entirely through muscle flexing and [[BishieSparkle sparkles]]. [[spoiler: Then they kick Sloth's ass; they kill him until he dies.]] It is awesome.
** If anything, compared to the previous series, Creator/ChristopherSabat turned Armstrong's hamminess UpToEleven in the ''Brotherhood'' dub... '''by the first episode'''! It's every bit as amazingly awesome and/ or hilarious as it sounds. And impressive considering how hammy he ''already was'' in the 2003 series.
** Flame vs. Fullmetal. You know the lines.
--->"When I'm Führer, there will be changes. On that day, all female officers will be required to wear... '''TINY MINISKIRTS!!!'''
*** Bonus points: the voice actor based his performance in those scenes on his failed audition for the role of... Armstrong.
*** For another good example, there's the (in)famous "'''I ''LOVE'' DOGS!'''" scene.
*** It's also interesting that neither Roy nor Ed are particularly hammy on their own (''most'' of the time, anyway), but several of their arguments dip into HamToHamCombat territory.
** Neither Izumi nor Sig Curtis are hammy by themselves. However, when they are together they have shared intense moments of loving passion for one another, [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments even in the heat of battle.]] In those moments, their hamminess is immeasurable.
** Jerso and Zampano in the final episode when [[spoiler:they exclaim how they're going to travel with Al. They essentially pull a Maito Gai pose.]]
** THE TERRIBLE SERIAL KILLER, FEARED BY ALL: '''BARRY THE CHOPPER!!!!''' A possible visual pun occurs when he introduces himself to Al. Actual hams fill the background.
* ''Anime/KillLaKill''
** [[LargeAndInCharge Ira Gamagoori]] isn't just a large ham. [[UpToEleven He's at least six or seven Christmas Dinners]].
** While no where near as hammy as her subordinate, Satsuki can be several platters of ham. She cannot give a speech without a sword stamp or dramatic wind and lighting.
* ''Anime/CodeGeass''
** Lelouch Lamperouge, especially once he gets his [[BlackCloak Zero costume]]. Lampshaded almost immediately when another character comments that they didn't expect the genius strategist to be such a ham. Only really applies when he's in his Zero guise.
** [[spoiler:Lelouch can be ''more'' of a ham without the mask, and seeing the relatively low-key Lelouch act like Zero in R2 episode 20 is actually ''rather terrifying''.]]
** The [[TheSocialDarwinist Emperor]]. Even when the man whispers, his voice booms (thank you Creator/NorioWakamoto and Creator/MichaelMcConnohie). The man is [[LargeAndInCharge larger than life]], so it's to be expected.
*** Even with Wakamato/[=McConnohie=] as a father, Lelouch manages to '''out-ham''' him in Episode 21 of ''R2'': [[spoiler:One month after [[CrazyEnoughToWork mind-controlling God]] into getting rid of the Emperor, he calmly strides into the imperial throne room wearing his school uniform, calmly sits down on the throne, and declares himself Emperor. After TheDragon [[HurricaneKick spinkicks the guards away]], Lelouch uses his Geass to force all present to acknowledge him as Emperor, sitting back with a [[PsychoticSmirk smirk]] on his face as they chant "ALL HAIL LELOUCH!".]]
** Jeremiah "Orange" Gottwald starts off the series looking pretty slick and arrogant, but after nearly getting killed, and turned into a cyborg, he seems to suffer from brain damage getting hammier with each passing appearance, up until the very end of the series. '''ALL HAIL BRITTANNIAAAAAAAAA!!!''', indeed. And "Take this! The storm of my '''LOYALTY!'''". Bonus points for being voiced by Creator/KenNarita and Creator/CrispinFreeman.
*** Season 2, especially his fight with [[spoiler: Anya]].
** ''Anime/CodeGeass'' is [[WorldOfHam so made of this trope]] that even the ''soundtrack'' can be hammy.
*** The Britannian Anthem. That is all.
** Code Geass is full of Magnificent Hamstards.
* For someone who holds a respectable position in a prosecutor's office and leads a life of such extreme regularity that Immanuel Kant himself would envy it, Mikami Teru of ''Manga/DeathNote'' is an extra-juicy ham. His ham moments (which contain a healthy, or perhaps unhealthy, dose of MundaneMadeAwesome) are the more startling because they appear in a series that is relatively realistic, notwithstanding L's and Near's ''deductions ex machina''.
** '''[[MemeticMutation SAKUJO, SAKUJO, SAKUJO!]]'''
** And then there's Ryuk the {{shinigami}}, a gothic crow-winged psychopomp with a giant mouth, but even so he manages to be hammier, particularly in the English dub ("THE SYMPTOMS ARE STARTIIIING!").He is voiced by Creator/BrianDrummond, the original dub voice actor for [[Anime/DragonBallZ Vegeta]].
** The truly blood-curdling [[MundaneMadeAwesome Potato Chip Eating Scene]] by [[AGodAmI Light Yagami]]:
--->"I'll take this potato chip... AND EAT IT!!!!!"
** Misa also. She's at her hammiest at the beginning of episode 18 (just ''look'' at those facial expressions). [[{{LampshadeHanging}} Lampshaded]] in-universe, when L accuses her of overacting when practicing her reactions to being interrogated. Perhaps being an actress herself (in-universe) helps.
* Vice Principal Uchiyamada in ''Manga/GreatTeacherOnizuka''.
** '''[[SayMyName ONIZUKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!]]'''
*** '''MY...MY BELOVED CRESTA!!!'''
* Dantalion, Bal Masque's MadScientist in ''LightNovel/ShakuganNoShana''.
* [[SpellMyNameWithAnS Might Guy]] from ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', as he's a parody of an over-excited coach from a Sports Anime. Constantly makes declarations about [[HotBlooded "The Fire of Youth"]] and [[DynamicEntry Dynamic Entries]].
** Mostly when around Guy, his prized student Rock Lee can be considered such.
** Jiraiya. "When you've reached the stature I have... THE LADIES KNEEL AND WORSHIP... AT YOUR AWESOMENESS!!"
** Naruto himself is full of ham.
--->"Don't talk... about Sasuke... like he's some toy... THAT YOU OWN!!! ''' ''[[AngstNuke RRAAAAAAAAA]][[UnstoppableRage AAAAAAAAAAAAA]][[SuperpoweredEvilSide RRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!!!]]'' '''"
--->"Didn't I tell you... to [[ShutUpHannibal SHUT THE HELL UP?!]]"
** [[MadArtist Deidara]]: Don't you know "ART IS AN EXPLOSION!!"
** Hidan the psycho priest guy.
** Killer Bee with raps and his brother The Fourth Raikage with his infamous [[ThereWasADoor Dynamic Exit]].
** Itachi's speech is pretty well executed by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR7VhOG5Alk Crispin Freeman.]] However, the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLiHsKPoIm4 original]] is off the charts. You can almost ''smell'' the madness. [[spoiler:That said, it was just an act to make Sasuke think he was evil. In truth Itachi is about as far from a LargeHam as you can get. Though apparently he's quite the overactor.]]
** The leader of the barrier team keeping Naruto and Bee on the giant turtle seems to have his dial permanently turned UpToEleven. The amazing [[BadassMustache facial hair]] doesn't help.
---> [[http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/536/7 'All the blood, sweat and tears we've shed have been to create this marvellous barrier! DO '''NOT''' LET HIM THROUGH!']]
* ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'': Asuka Langley Soryu is a HotBlooded FieryRedhead with tons of overemotional moments, some of which are hilarious and some of which are tragic. ''AudioPlay/EvangelionAfterTheEnd'' even has her act as the leader of a {{sentai}} show InUniverse, where she is the ''only'' one to deliver her lines with the utmost hot-blooded passion. Best exemplified with Creator/TiffanyGrant[='s=] over-the-top histrionics in the English dub of the show:
--->[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVrrd6mYdAY "WHAT ARE YOU, STUPID?! I'M TALKING ABOUT THE FIRST CHILD, OF CO-ARSE!"]]
* ''Anime/TigerAndBunny''
** To say that Sky High has a flare for the dramatic would be an understatement: he speaks in an high exaggerated tone and makes grand hand and arm gestures, sometimes even when off the job. He also loves to [[CallingYourAttacks shout his name when unleashing particularly powerful attacks.]]
** On the villains' side, we have Jake Martinez, who dresses in a rather flamboyant style and plays up his role as a CardCarryingVillain to staggering heights.
* ''Manga/{{Trigun}}'':
** Millions Knives has many PunctuatedForEmphasis moments and likes ChewingTheScenery when he's not busy intellectualizing or {{Wangst}}ing.
---> Knives: LET'S WIPE OUT! ALL THE SCUM!! HAHAHAAAA!
** Legato, whose over-the-top psycho badassery is manifested even when he ''eats'' (while laughing maniacally or in-between torturing people).
** Needless to say, that Vash, with his sympathy and determination, he's so in love with Rem's ideals that he's so over the top, it's glorious, "LOVE AND PEACE!" never have felt so awesome in any manga for that matter.
* The English dub of the ''Anime/DeltoraQuest'' anime has the villains ham up and scream in almost every sentence. If this doesn't annoy the crap out of you, then I don't know what will.
* The Count in ''Anime/{{Gankutsuou}}'' qualifies to some extent, especially with his [[RuleOfCool melodramatic poses and obvious histrionic enjoyment]].
---> The Count: BERTUCCIO! LET'S GO TO PARIS! '''WHERE EVIL CRAWLS! HAHAHAHAHAAA!'''
*** The fact that he yells this with a dandy pose and with an expression of absolute insanity ''just after he sobbed desperately like a wounded kid'' emphasizes the spectacular aspect of the scene.
* Haruka Suzushiro from ''Anime/MaiHime'' (and Haruka Armitage from ''Anime/MaiOtome'') may very well be the queen of anime and manga {{Large Ham}}s, with a flair for shouting and dramatic gestures ([[GivingSomeoneThePointerFinger especially finger-pointing]]) that is too great to be ignored.
** On the villainous side, Tomoe (post-{{Yandere}} snap) tries to out-ham Haruka in ''Zwei''.
* ''Anime/NowAndThenHereAndThere'' has King Hamdo, voiced by Jack Taylor in the English version, in which the way he acts, he should be called King [=HAMdo=].
* ''Anime/ErgoProxy'' has a few of these. The creators of the show seem to know exactly how pretentious they were and reveled in it. Many of the Proxies have a tendency toward the overly dramatic, but none more so than MCQ, who out of boredom created his battle arena as an elaborate gameshow he hosts with great enthusiasm. The MagnificentBastard [[spoiler:Proxy One]] is also worth mentioning, as he goes out of his way to act and look as melodramatic as possible.
* Perhaps to make up for the (in comparison) low-key main cast, a ''lot'' of side characters behave this way in ''Anime/PrincessTutu''. Particularly in the Creator/ADVFilms dub, where the actors were obviously enjoying themselves. Some of the more notable examples:
--> '''[[BunnyEarsLawyer Professor Cat]]:''' "If you don't do well in your studies...I WILL HAVE YOU MAAAAAAARY ME!!!"
--> '''Femio:'''"''[cymbal crash]'' OH, HEAVEN! ''[cymbal crash]'' POUR JUDGMENT UPON...THIS '''SINNAAAAAAAH'''!"
** (In the Japanese version, his hammiest moments sound like they're spoken over a loud-speaker!)
--> '''Autor:''' "And to ''think'' that the stories are so powerful that the '''endings''' even had to be torn out! ISN'T IT '''THRILLING'''?!"
* ''Manga/MahouSenseiNegima''
** Jack Rakan makes the likes of [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Might Guy]] and [[Manga/FullMetalAlchemist Armstrong]] look normal. At least he does know that a move can't have [[CallingYourAttacks too long a name]].
** Evangeline also does this on occasion; when she destroyed a massive demon giving her EvilGloating speech about how powerful she was. [[http://www.mangafox.com/manga/mahou_sensei_negima/v06/c052/ Asuna]] [[LampshadeHanging points this out immediately]]: "Eva-chan is really enjoying herself, isn't she?"
** And for the other side of the spectrum, [[spoiler: Dynamis]] can be counted. From the minute he removes his mask for the first time, he immediately begins to compete with Rakan for the title of "Most Hammy Character".
** There's also the Narrator for [[GagSeries Negima?!]] "AND, WITH THAT, THE CASE IS CLOSED!"
* ''Anime/DragonBallZ''
** The QuirkyMinibossSquad known as the Ginyu Force, particularly Ginyu and Recoome.
** Or, for that matter, teenage Gohan's attempts to become a Large Ham through his "Great Saiyaman" identity in the Buu saga?
*** Gohan's training with the Z-Sword. Where he's swinging at nothing and then just stops, raises it to the air, points at it and starts yelling "'''HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!'''"
** Or, you know, ''Vegeta''? Goku's power level is not [[OverNineThousand a meme]] for nothing.
** Vegeta was notable for this but most of the villains and a good chunk of the heroes also had their moments of this trope.
*** Cell, in all three of his forms. Needlessly creepy? Check. Incredibly hammy? Double Check. [[Creator/NorioWakamoto With a voice]] [[Creator/DameonClarke to match?]] Triple Check. [[MagnificentBastard Villainously awesome]]? You bet your ass.
--->'''Cell''': [while gloating about how he's going to absorb the androids, turns to #18] And you, my little peach... '''I'm going to gobble you up!'''
*** Cell could probably be more hammier in Kai. For example in the NextEpisodePreview for Episode 83:
--->'''Cell:''' Greetings out there in TV Land! My name is Cell and I am here to announce my upcoming tournament! But first, for those who have labeled me as a quote-unquote monster: [[ComicallyMissingThePoint As you can see, that term no longer applies]]. [[BishonenLine I have achieved the perfect body!]] Go on, admire it. Admit it, you know you're jealous.
*** Also Super Buu
---> "PROOODUUUUUUUCE!"
---> [[HilariousOuttakes "BRING ME TOMATOS!"]]
** The {{Narrator}}, who enthusiastically sums up the episodes preceding and proceeding the current one.
--> "Next time, on [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Dragon Ball Z!]]"
** Hercule acts like an over-the-top professional wrestler, which serves to make [[ButtMonkey his general inability to hold a candle to the Z-Warriors and their enemies]] all the more hilarious.
* [[WorldOfHam Everyone]] in ''Anime/SailorMoon'' with the absolute king of it being Professor Tomoe of the Death Busters.
** Lampshaded in one episode that focused on a production of ''Snow White'', with Usagi playing the WickedWitch. When she was at home practicing, Shingo shouted something that was translated as "Ham actress!" to antagonize her.
** The nicest thing you can probably say about the [=DiC=]/Cloverway dub's voice actresses would be that they are this. Serena's second voice actress, Terri Hawkes, in particular, who made her synth-music-backed transformations ''very'' dramatic; and Creator/SusanRoman, Jupiter's voice actress, too. '''"I call upon the forces of thunder and lightning to VANQUISH this evil! SUPREME... THUNDER... CRASH!"'''
*** In the same dub, villains Queen Beryl and Queen Nehelenia were very much this, along with Dr. Tomoe, Rubeus, and Alan/Anne. Also, the late Kirsten Bishop deserves a mention for her memorably hammy performances as villains Zoycite, Emerald, Kaori Knight, Queen Badiyanu, Tellu, and oh so many monsters of the day.
** The Viz dub continues the tradition of hammy villains with Creator/CindyRobinson as Queen Beryl, Creator/ToddHaberkorn as Jadeite, Jessica Gee as Petz, Rena Strober as Esmerauld, and almost any monster of the day (especially if they're voiced by Creator/JulieAnnTaylor, Creator/KateHiggins, or RachelRobinson). Also Julie Ann Taylor as Miss Haruna is pretty hammy too, as is Creator/BenDiskin as Umino. Of the guardians themselves, Sailor Jupiter (AmandaCelineMiller) is once again the biggest example.
** Minako/Sailor Venus is, by far, the hammiest of the Sailor Soldiers. At least she's the only one whose [[InTheNameOfTheMoon In The Name of Venus]] speech was criticized as 'too long' ''by the MonsterOfTheWeek''...
*** In one occasion, Kaolinite of the Death Busters had guessed that Usagi was Sailor Moon and thus had kidnapped her and taken away her [[TransformationTrinket brooch]]. When the Outers had apparently derailed her plan, Kaolinite decided to get a victory by announcing Usagi's true identity... And ''in that exact instant'', Sailor Venus showed up disguised in a ''bad'' Sailor Moon disguise and hammed her performance so much that not only Kaolinite and the Outers couldn't see it was a fake, but Usagi (the largest ham of the Sailor Senshi after Venus herself) was ''completely embarrassed'' (but that could have been caused by how Venus and Mars had insulted her while they convinced Kaolinite the brooch was merchandise...)!
** '''[[NoblewomansLaugh OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO]]!''' There's no mention of me, Esmeraude? That's RIDICULOUS! '''OHOHOHOHOHOHO!'''
* ''Manga/SoulEater'' features a rather hammy major character, Black★Star (Yes, the "★" ''is'' important), who has a tendency to [[ChewingTheScenery grossly overact]], but exhibits less hammy moments as well. Excalibur is much, much worse.
** It is telling that Black★Star is deliberately a parody of the aforementioned Naruto ...
* Sasagawa Ryouhei of ''Manga/KatekyoHitmanReborn'' does it [[HotBlooded TO THE EXTREME]].
** Umm, hello? "VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIII!!!"
* Commander Taiga from ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'' couldn't be more hammy if he sat in the deli case at your local grocery store. In the dub, he's played by [[Creator/DanGreen DAN GREEN]]!
** Which just makes it even more of a shame the dub was never finished.
* America from ''Manga/AxisPowersHetalia''. There's a reason why his image song is called "[=HAMburger=] street!"
** Prussia! Prone to maniacal laughter and crazy antics, all while technically not existing anymore.
** Cuba. Not only the guy is [[BigFun larger than life]], but 90% of his dialogue is made by him YELLING his lines.
-->'''HEY, AMERICA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HEEEEEEREEEEE!!!?"'''
** That's nothing. Each time that The Axis and the Allies would fight each other in season 1, the sounds of spotlights [[AudibleSharpness flicking on in the distance]], a chorus of trumpets blaring triumphantly, and all countries looking nervously at the ocean... only to see a blinding light and THE ham of the series: an ''ENORMOUS'' Roman Empire traveling on a boat or a bed accompanied by a harem of beautiful women singing the following warning:
-->'''Roman Empire''': In heaven, the police are British, the lovers are Italian, the chefs are French, the engineers are German, and the bankers are Swiss. In hell, the police are German, the lovers are Swiss, the chefs are British, the engineers are French, and the bankers are Italian!
** His eldest grandson Romano (South Italy) is no better, at least in the English dub. Prone to long-winded insults and strange noises, it's no surprise that pork is one of the more well-eaten dishes in Southern Italy.
-->'''Romano (to Germany)''': THIS WEATHERMAN'S PREDICTING A 99% CHANCE OF SHITSTORM AND IT'S COMING RIGHT AT YA!
* ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}''
** Alucard dominates any scene he's in, and is even ''more'' hammy when voiced by Creator/CrispinFreeman in the English dubs for both the original series and the {{OVA}}.
** [[BloodKnight The Major]] himself probably achieved his position by clubbing all other competitors to death with the sheer size of his ham. When he can launch into a ''ten-minute speech'' about how much he loves war and make it ''[[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome awesome]]'', you've got a true ham on hand. That must have been one of the performances of Creator/NobuoTobita's life.
** Integra Hellsing's "Kill 'em All" speech in volume 3, or the Valentine Bros in 2.
** And Father Anderson? '''''Aaaaaaaameeeeeeeen!!!'''''
*** Anderson's DynamicEntry rescue of [[spoiler: Integra]] in Ultimate 5 was hand-crafted for Creator/NorioWakamoto because it is oozing with so much ham and Narm, that only Wakamoto could pull it off while retaining the awesomeness of the moment. Steven Brand does an even hammier version of it with his native Scottish accent in the dubbed OVA, too.
* ''Anime/Persona4TheAnimation'' has a surprising example in the form of Yu Narukami, a former SilentProtagonist who is usually comically [[TheStoic stoic]], but as the series progresses, he gets a few chances to ham it up, such as when he goes fishing and treats it like he's fighting a Shadow (complete with glasses and [[SuperMovePortraitAttack facial cut-in]]), describing the Mega Beef Bowl in the English dub, and the infamous [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIuVO1SsFYs King's Game scene]].
* ''Manga/ThePrinceOfTennis'': Everything about Atobe Keigo just screams LargeHam, and is a large part of why the character is [[EnsembleDarkhorse ridiculously popular with the fans]].
** Example: his most [[CatchPhrase well-known line]], ''"Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi na!"'', roughly means ''"Be awed by my prowess"''.
*** And the musical version takes it up a notch turning the line into a song and dance number titled ''Ore-sama no bigi ni boogie woogie'’. This includes other characters fainting when he blows kisses, and he takes the time to sample bottled water in a wineglass [[AGlassOfChianti as if it were wine]], in the middle of a tennis match.
** Normally, Takashi Kawamura is a softspoken NiceGuy. But if you put a racked in his hands, he not only goes totally HotBlooded, but also unleashes his inner ham and lets it go wild.
* Mark Oliver, the voice actor for Rau Le Creuset in the dub ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSeed Gundam SEED]]''. The scene where he reveals Kira's history as [[spoiler:the Ultimate Coordinator]] is incredibly dramatic, but while Creator/ToshihikoSeki simply has Rau raise his voice, Oliver chews the scenery with relish.
--> "If the world knew '''ABOUT WHAT YOU TRULY ARE THEY WOULD WANT TO BECOME JUST LIKE YOU! THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR ONE LIKE YOU! EVEN I, [[spoiler: THE CLONE OF A MAN WHO THOUGHT HIMSELF SUPERIOR]], AM NO EXCEPTION!'''.
* Creed from ''Manga/BlackCat''. His super evil over-the-top laugh, paired with him constantly [[StalkerWithACrush screaming praises of Train]] make him a rather LargeHam indeed.
* Tamaki Suoh of ''Manga/OuranHighSchoolHostClub'' is very interested in educating himself in the ways of the common people's ham.
** Renge Houshakuji, complete with NoblewomansLaugh.
** It's hard to tell whether the seiyuu or the English voice actors were having more fun, but let's face it -- even if he wasn't into ''Ouran'' by the time it was licensed, Tamaki's BerserkButton animation and personality kinda pinpointed [[Creator/VicMignogna who would eventually play him]].
* Ayame Sohma of ''Manga/FruitsBasket'' would love nothing more than to embrace his little brother and clutch him to his hamly bosom.
** Ayame is so hammy he managed to keep his hair long by ''giving the Principal a long, made-up, extremely hammy speech about his hair being sacred.''
** Hamminess may be a side effect of the family curse. Hatori and Yuki seem to avoid it (most of the time), but [[GenkiGirl Kagura]], [[{{Keet}} Momiji]], [[ApologisesALot Ritsu]], [[HaremNanny Shigure]]...
** Hatsuharu is an interesting case. Usually he tends to lean more towards TheComicallySerious, but when he turns into Black Haru, he becomes ''very'' hammy.
** Motoko Minagawa is the local AlphaBitch as well as Yuki's Nº1 fangirl. Contrasting with her idol, she is EXTREMELY prone to overreaction and screaming.
* MadScientist Komui Lee of ''Manga/DGrayMan'' transforms into ham around his sister, ActionGirl Lenalee. Yet another one voiced by Katsuyuki "[[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Kamina]]" Konishi, you see.
* A few characters in ''LightNovel/{{Baccano}}''. For Isaac and Miria, it comes with the [[TheDitz ditzy]] RefugeInAudacity territory. And then there's Ladd...
** Gra'''ham''' Spector?
*** Ladd and [[=GraHam=]] Spector meet up and get into a [[ChewingTheScenery scenery-chewing battle]] [[HamToHamCombat of epic proportions.]] [[UpToEleven There are no survivors.]]
* Some of the Devil Bats of ''Manga/{{Eyeshield 21}}'' can be pretty hammy, Monta and Taki come to mind, but some of the guys on the other teams are really hammy, as well as the announcers (although, they ''are'' sports announcers so...).
* Nozomu Itoshiki from ''Manga/SayonaraZetsubouSensei''.
-->"'''I AM IN DESPAIR! OVERLY MELODRAMATIC ACTING HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!''' "
* While usually understated, Robin from ''Manga/OnePiece'' turns into a faux-Shakespearian actor after cast in a play, turning pedestrian dialog into melodramatic tragedy. It's implied that this is because she doesn't know any other style of theatre.
** In ''Manga/OnePiece'', it's not just the characters, [[WorldOfHam THE ENTIRE WORLD]] is like this!
*** Perhaps more than anyone, however is [=CP9=] member Kumadori, who's a large ham even by One Piece's standards. Which is fitting, since his character design is based off of Kabuki theater. In addition to screaming his every line and reciting ''poems'' before an attempted deathblow, he even rambles on in [[YeOldeButcheredeEnglishe faux-Shakesperian speech patterns]] as he fights.
---->"'''NOOOOOOOOW THOOOUUUU AAAAART MIIIIIIIINE!!!!!'''"
*** Ceasar Clown was already pretty over the top in the manga, but the anime seems taking things [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9NgH1MO_W8 even further.]]
* Bandou from ''Manga/ElfenLied'' proves that you can be a LargeHam in a Manga, even with no voice acting involved at all. Not helped by how, in the anime, he's voiced by Creator/JojiNakata.
* [[BigBad Dr. Jail Scaglietti]] of ''Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikers''. He speaks dramatically when he gives instruction. He speaks dramatically when he makes an observation. He speaks dramatically when he's facing defeat. Even when he's been incarcerated for three years, he still speaks dramatically when being interrogated in ''AudioPlay/StrikersSoundStageX''. And when he's actually broadcasting in front of a camera, hoo-boy... It probably helps that he's voiced by Ken "[[Anime/CodeGeass Orange-kun]]" Narita.
** Vita is one of the loudest characters in this franchise. She's aggressive, hot-tempered and if she unleashes her UnstoppableRage, '''she will break through your barrier/shield and there's nothing that she and her hammer Graf Eisen cannot destroy'''.
** Subaru Nakajima is a HotBlooded, LargeHam GenkiGirl who is also a [[SchoolgirlLesbians Schoolgirl Lesbian]] ([[MemeticMutation rainbows are straighter than Subaru]]). Her FanNickname is [=GaoGaiGar=]-tan, for crying out loud!
** Lutecia Alpine in ''Manga/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaVivid''. Yes, you've read it right. ''That'' [[EmotionlessGirl Emotionless]] DarkMagicalGirl Lutecia from ''[=StrikerS=]''. The most impressive part: she was still extremely quiet ''only a year'' before.
** The [[VideoGame/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAsPortable PSP game spinoffs]] offer a side of extra Ham(s) in the form of Material-D (Dearche) and Material-L (Levi). Especially in the second game, ''Gears of Destiny'', where their ham quotient is taken UpToEleven. Dearche even comments that she's been practicing her [[EvilLaughter evil laugh]].
*** Amitie Florian, the HotBlooded Florian older sister is one of the other characters he [[ChewingTheScenery chews the scenery]].
** Among the [[EmpathicWeapon Devices]], we have Vita's Graf Eisen and ''especially'' Signum's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHjALt70HFg#t=0m9s Laevatein]]. Yes, even weapons can be hammy. Both are also voiced by Creator/TetsuyaKakihara ([[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Simon]], [[Manga/FairyTail Natsu]]).
--> "'''[[GratuitousGerman JAWOHL!]]'''"
* Tsukiyo from ''Manga/{{Sketchbook}}'' tends to respond overly dramatic when she isn't recognized by the other students--this happens quite often.
** And Kuma. Then again, he was being voiced by Creator/JojiNakata.
* The Furukawas of ''VisualNovel/{{CLANNAD}}'' are made of this trope. Quite appropriate; [[spoiler:the father was formerly an actor]].
** Yuusuke Yoshino is like this too, although he's much more low-key and quiet about it.
* Princess Amelia of ''{{LightNovel/Slayers}}'', the "''HAMMER OF JUSTICE!''". Her father, [[TechnicalPacifist Philionel]], is the same ("''GOODWILL TO ALL LIVING THINGS SMASH!''").
** Naturally, episode 16 of season 1 took it so far Lina had to lampshade her own hamminess during the stage battle.
** Princess Martina, who hams it to the max in her worship of the '''MONSTER ZOAMULGUSTARRRR!!'''
** Wizer Freyon from ''Revolution''. "I hereby arrest you for the crime of BEING LINA INVERSE!!!!" Not surprising, given that he's voiced by ham-lord Creator/DanGreen.
* In the anime of ''VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry'', Beatrice the Endless Witch has definitely been delivering the Large Ham.
--->Beatrice: "Let's start [[MindGameShip torturing each other]]... [[SayMyName Ushiromiya BAAAATORAAAAA]]!"
** "SOOOOOOU WA SASEMASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!"
** Kinzo can be even worse, what with all the standing around at his window screaming at the sky. "[[MadLove BEEEEAAAAATTTTOOOOOORRRRIIIIICCCCCEEEEEEEE!]]"
* Gauron from ''LightNovel/FullMetalPanic''. ''Everything'' the guy does is made incredibly hammy (along with [[MemeticMolester having rapist vibes]]). And in the novels, he eats ham while dramatically giving orders to the AI when he hijacked the Tuatha de Dannan. Partially {{lampshaded}} during the last arc of Season 1, where Mao notices him on the top of the tallest building, not putting ''any'' effort to conceal himself, which makes everyone else go "WTF." He then proceeds to hammily yell out "All you people from Mithril~! I've missed you all!" and tell them that "It's party time! Let's dance!!! <3"
** ''Gates'' is the perfect combination of LargeHam and CrazyAwesome.
* Kyoko from ''Manga/SkipBeat'' is consistently hammy. Almost everything she does is saturated with MundaneMadeAwesome and HotBlooded-ness, and there's even a running gag with her using daikon radishes for a variety of things — cold remedies, talent auditions, etc.
** Also Lory Takarada, the president of Kyoko's agency, always makes a huge entrance wearing the most bizarre outfits (usually a throwback to historical or extravagant settings, such as harems, the renaissance, etc.) flanked by lots of people, presumably his employees who have nothing else to do.
* Yukimura from ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara''. But only when dealing with or talking to or thinking about his OYAKATA-HAM-A!! So, all the time.
** Just Yukimura and Shingen? Every character from that anime has vast amounts of ham. Oda Nobunaga is even voiced by the [[Creator/NorioWakamoto Japanese incarnation of ham]].
** Special mention to Mitsunari's [[ChewingTheScenery scenery chewing]] whenever thinking about/encountering '''''IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!'''''
* Dark Schneider from ''Manga/{{Bastard}}''.
-> '''DS:'''"Oh Lord, why must you make me so '''''KICK-ASS STRONG'''''!!!"
* Karna, the alien "{{Anime Chinese girl}}" from ''Anime/NieaUnder7'', is EXTREMELY vocal about alien emancipation. And for the love of all that's holy, [[BerserkButton don't make fun of her antenna]]!
-->"'''LISTEN TO MEEEEEEE!!!''' "
* ''{{Anime/Pokemon}}''
** "I. LOVE. '''[[Creator/DanGreen FOSSILS!]]'''"
** Also, Harley, who is defined by this trope and his DisproportionateRetribution towards May.
** Team Rocket. Their entire introduction alone is a good enough reason for them to be listed under this trope.
** Baron Alberto as well.
** Cilan gets turned from a [[{{Adorkable}} rather shy]] character in the games to a FABULOUS Gym Leader [[Creator/MamoruMiyano with a seiyuu to match.]]
** [[FanGirl Casey]] (voiced by [[Creator/KerryWilliams Kerry Williams]]) is also very, ''very'' hammy in the English dub. [[CuteButCacophonic It helps that her voice could break glass.]]
--->'''Casey:''' '''Just crazy enough to knock that pointy little head of yours in the next''' '''TUESDAY!'''
* Space Deputy Kogoro of ''Manga/SgtFrog'' is made of this. Keroro also has his hammy moments.
%%* ''VisualNovel/KoihimeMusou'': '''THE WAY OF THE FIVE GRAINS!'''
* Lotte, the German karate kid in ''Manga/SasamekiKoto''. [[http://read.homeunix.com/onlinereading/?image=Sasameki%20Koto/Sasameki%20Koto%20c019/22.png&server=nas.html WELL MET MY CHOSEN!]]...
* Noda of ''Anime/AngelBeats'' manages to stand out from a cast of at least 50% pure grade-A hams by screaming almost every line, usually punctuated by flourishes of his ever-present halberd axe.
** ''Everyone'' in the OVA. Yuri forces them to be as hammy as possible in the hopes that it will confuse Angel.
* All Might from ‘’Manga/MyHeroAcademia’’ is as hammy as they come, making bombastic speeches about being a symbol of peace.
* In ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'', unless your name is either [[PerpetualFrowner Ulquiorra]], [[BrilliantButLazy Starrk]], and [[TheStoic Harribel]], you simply ''can't'' be a member of the Espada and '''not''' be damn hammy. The most triumphant example is Barragan, um, [=BarraHAM=] Luisenbarn, the Second Espada: his VillainousBreakdown [[spoiler: before he died]] was pure, ''pure'' HAM.
** Yammy Rialgo's powers are fueled by rage, which he gets from everything that doesn't directly please him. Aaroniero's acting as [[spoiler: Kaien]] is purely hammy, since he laughs maniacally half the time while taunting Rukia.
** Szayel Aporro may be one of the most triumphant examples.
** Zommari lost his fight ''because'' of how hammy he was.
** Grimmjow gave us "'''ESPADA SIX: IS GRIMMJOW AGAIN! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!'''" And Nnoitra's "I AM THE MOST POWERFUL ESPADA EVER CREATED!"
** Also, there's the most... um, colorful member of Barragan's Fraccion, the very quirky [[EnsembleDarkhorse and surprisingly popular]] [[DragQueen Charlotte]] [[MagicalGirl Cuulhorne]]. [[spoiler: Only [[AlasPoorVillain in death]] he wasn't hammy.]]
*** Harribel's AmazonBrigade make up for their mistress's stoic personality quite nicely. Sung-Sun is rather quiet and snarky, but Apacci and Mila Rose simply can't be in the same panel without yelling at each other.
** In the side of the good guys we have Ichigo's father Isshin, with his over the top attacks and either crazy or perverted antics toward his three kids. '''[[DynamicEntry GOOOOOD MORRRRNINNNNNG ICHIGOOOOOOOOO!!!!]]'''
** ''Don Kanonji.''
--> "Spirits are ALWAYS WITH YOU!" *pose* "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
** Even Aizen himself get this. In the fight vs [[spoiler:Ichigo]].
*** What, only then? As [[DrunkWithPower Aizen's powers increased]], so did his hamminess.
** *AHEM* "Who is lucky? I am lucky. [[Creator/NobuyukiHiyama None so lucky but me!]] [[Creator/VicMignogna That's right, I said Me~]]" Seriously Ikkaku's dialogue is either borderline {{Narm}}, LargeHam or CrazyAwesome.
** No mention of [[spoiler: Arrancar Grand Fisher]]? You know you cannot win with your zanpakuto, because as we all know - The size of one's Zanpakuto is directly proportional to one's '''SPIRIT ENERGYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!'''
** When [[BloodKnight in a good fight]], Kenpachi jumps onto the ham bandwagon as well.
** Mayuri Kurotsuchi, as it befits the local MadScientist and owner of really creepy {{Nightmare Face}}s, can get pretty hammy when he wants to. Not just that, but his and [[spoiler: Szayel Aporro]]'s [[HamToHamCombat "fight"]] was finished with a loud and merciless TheReasonYouSuckSpeech that was porky to the n-th degree. Including jewels like "I SPIT ON PERFECTION" and "HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN OF SCIENCE?!" While he ''sliiiightly'' toned the words down in the last arc, the increase of the {{nightmare face}}s and the ''ridiculous'' outfit he wears make up for it.
** Among the Fullbringers, we have [[spoiler: Giriko. But ONLY when he's DrunkWithPower.]] Riruka Dokugamine and Moe Shishigawara also had their hammy moments as well.
** In the final arc, [[spoiler: Hikifune and Tenjirou from the Zero Squad]] proved that they were no slouches in this. In fact, in 521 [[spoiler: Hikifune]] went [[IncomingHam so over the top with her entrance]] that she almost threw [[spoiler: Ichigo and Renji]] off a floating platform without even noticing.
*** And then [[spoiler: Ouetsu Nimaiya]] [[UpToEleven blew them all out of the water.]]
** Quincies are pure ham. It seems to be in their blood - they have a natural talent for turning any moment into one that abounds with ham. It makes sense when realising Juhabach aka The Leader is [[LargeAndInCharge so huge and imposing-looking]] that he manages to be the kind of ham that doubles as TheStoic. [[spoiler: Until he kills Yamamoto and eliminates his lifeless body, where he temporarily but fully unleashes his hamminess and some more.]]
*** Uryuu Ishida has always been the King of Ham within Ichigo's group: "'''Tell Aizen that a Quincy has come! For the one you truly have to fear is not a Shinigami but a Quincy!'''" (Boy did that turn out to be true!)
*** Ebern Azgiaro was pretty porky and that got him kicked off Ichigo's bed among other things, but [[http://eatmanga.com/Manga-Scan/Bleach/Bleach-489/page-7 Kirge Opie]] was [[EvilIsHammy the evil ham was at]].
*** Mask de Masculine, a MaskedLuchador who acts like he's theatrically performing for a wrestling crowd even when there's no-one around to watch. [[spoiler: Turns out this is part of his power, since he's revived by the cheers of his fan(s).]]
*** As Nodt was introduced as TheStoic when he [[spoiler: made mincemeat out of Byakuya and almost killed him]], but he inexplicably went hammy when attacking [[spoiler: Yamamoto]] and almost paid for it with his life. And once he returned to action [[spoiler: and found Byakuya '''and''' Rukia]], he went all DrunkWithPower and became this. [[UpToEleven With gusto]].
*** In fact, the only Quincy that [[SubvertedTrope hasn't descended]] into hamminess is also the only Quincy that has turned his back on his heritage - Ryuuken Ishida's stoic personality seems to be keeping the ham well beyond the other side of the [[StepfordSnarker snark]] line.
** In 591, we see that [[spoiler: being BackFromTheDead]] can make [[spoiler: Arrancars]] '''even hammier''' than they once were. [[spoiler: Now that Charlotte, Dordonni, Cirucci and Luppi have been 'revived' by Mayuri as zombies, the first three have [[UpToEleven turned up the porkitude levels to like, over 9.000]], with a totally deadpan Luppi lampshades how loud they are.]] And then [[spoiler: Mayuri, being... [[HeroicComedicSociopath who he is]], [[ElectricTorture zaps them]] to get them to shut up.]] [[Funny/{{Bleach}} It has to be seen to be believed.]]
* From the ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' visual novel and anime, [[Creator/MaiKadowaki Ilya]]'s use of the word '''BAHSAHKAH''' is more than enough.
** [[GratuitousEnglish I am the bone of my sword...]]
** '''Every''' single Servant when using their Noble Phantasms. Every last one.
** [[spoiler: [[Creator/TomokazuSeki Gilgamesh]] ]] has an immeasurably huge ego, and hams up his appearances every other line.
** Although [[Creator/JojiNakata Kirei Kotomine]] isn't loud, every single line is spoken with the same gravity, intensity, and seriousness normally reserved for funeral services. That said, when he lets loose in [[spoiler: his final battle in the visual novel, which is also the last battle in the game]] he '''really''' starts picking up that ham.
* Absolutely everyone in ''Manga/TheRoseOfVersailles'', which goes with the fact that it's a quite early anime series and easily one of the most {{melodrama}}tic ever.
* Winner Sinclair from ''Manga/{{Karin}}''. EVERY line he utters is incredibly hammy and ridiculously accented. "TIME FOR TALK IS OVER! I CHALLENGE YOU TO DUEL!"
* ''Manga/SaintSeiya'' is already a WorldOfHam, but [[spoiler: Gemini Saga]] is a special case. He's a rather stoic and serious TragicHero at first sight, but when [[spoiler: under he's the effects of a SplitPersonalityTakeOver]], the guy unleashes his inner ham and lets it run '''''WILD'''''. His EvilGloating and EvilLaugh are ''truly'' a sight to behold.
** Cranked UpToEleven in the [[SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing MEMORABLE]] Latin-American dub, where it's obvious that his VA Javier Rivero was having waaaaay too much fun as he delivered his lines.
** By the way, talking about the Latin-American dub, [[spoiler:Gemini Saga]] was voiced in three chapters by ''Carlos del Campo'', the temporal voice that he had during the [[spoiler:SplitPersonalityTakeOver]] in the final battle of the Sanctuary saga, and he chewed the scenario.
*** Then again, Carlos del Campo soon went to voice [[Anime/SailorMoon Professor Tomoe]] and [[Anime/RanmaOneHalf Principal Kuno]], and both times the man unleashed '''even more hamminess'''. That poor scenery.
%%* Zorori from ''Literature/KaiketsuZorori''. That is all.
* 007 from ''Manga/{{Cyborg 009}}'' most definitely fits this. JustifiedTrope, since he ''was'' a classically trained actor in his backstory.
* Tomo from ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh''.
** Um, hello? [[Creator/NorioWakamoto Chiyo-Chichi]], anyone?
* Shizuo Heiwajima from ''LightNovel/{{Durarara}}''. He enters half the scenes by throwing a vending machine or something heavy at Izaya, followed by him yelling "IIII-ZAAA-YAAAA!!"
* It might not seem so at first, but after about 60 episodes of ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'', you start to realize that Katsura is a large ham.
** There are a surplus of hammy characters, but an honorable mention belongs to Gintoki himself. Especially the strawberry milk speech.
-->''Listen up! Let's say you drink too much strawberry milk, and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. But it's cold outside your bed. You don't want to get up, but the urge to urinate is just too strong! You make up your mind to go! You run to the bathroom, stand in front of the toilet, and let loose! You think that all your life has led to this moment! But then you realize! It isn't the bathroom! You're still in bed! That feeling of lukewarm wetness spreads like wild fire! But you don't stop! You can't stop! That's what I'm talking about! That's the truth of the strawberry milk! ''DO YOU GET IT!?'''
* The titular character of ''LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya'' has some ''very'' hammy moments, particularly when she's waxing lyrical over her plans for her SOS Brigade.
* ''Manga/FairyTail'' has had its fair [[WorldOfHam share]]...
--> '''WE ARE FAIRY TAIL!'''
* ''ZOIDS Chaotic Century'' and ''Guardian Force'' have their fair share of these.
** {{Big Bad}}s Gunther Prozen and Hiltz. Protagonist Van Flyheight gets a fair few as well
** "The Baron of Wings" and "The Sword of Storms*, aka [[spoiler: Rosso and Viola, once they acquire the Storm Sworders]], whose tendency to make grand entrances and deliver dramatic monologues while kicking the ass of whatever nefarious character or minion thereof happens to be around is so hammy it borders on [[NarmCharm intense Narm - but it's still awesome]].
** The same can be said for Stinger, an effeminate mercenary who hams it up almost every time he opens his mouth.
** From the same franchise, Steve Toros and Dr. Layon are MADE of this trope. Taken {{Up to Eleven}} when the two come face to face.
* Homura Akemi from ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' is one of the few hams who are also TheStoic or a SugarAndIcePersonality. Blame it on her tendence to dramatically [[StealthHiBye appear out of nowhere]].
** And then Homura is completely upstaged by a certain Witch we know as [[spoiler: Walpurgisnacht]]. She spins around [[spoiler: upside-down]], has a very high-piched EvilLaugh, is said to be [[spoiler: "the Witch of Stage Settings"]] and it looks like her goal is [[spoiler: to subject the world itself to destruction as a bombastic, hammy Grand Finale.]] [[EvilIsHammy That's hamminess]] [[UpToEleven and then some more.]]
** Not to be outdone, in [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagicaTheMovieRebellion the sequel movie]] Homura [[spoiler:becomes the very embodiment of LoveMakesYouEvil]] and hams it up quite gloriously in the process, [[spoiler: [[EvilIsHammy flaunting her evilness]] with a new EvilIsSexy outfit and taunting Sayaka and Kyubey with her godlike RealityWarper powers]]. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone But it fizzles out when she realizes that may not have been an ideal plan.]]
* Hosaka of ''Manga/MinamiKe'' is an absolutely enormous ham.
* Viscount Druitt from ''Manga/BlackButler'' is a huge ham, especially in the second season.
** Grelle Sutcliff.
* ''Anime/SuperAtragon'' gives us no less than four characters who serve up big, steaming platters of ham:
** [[TheCaptain Captain Hayate]]: With NoIndoorVoice, and his own [[PunctuatedForEmphasis catch phrase]].
** [[HotBlooded Go Arasaka]]: who gets into a fight inside a helicopter and constantly professes his love for Annette
** Annette: Whose every other line is, "Avatar! Stop this immediately!"
** [[BigBad Avatar]]: Whose overused [[EvilLaugh cackle]] can quickly become a source of narm.
* [[TheAce Principal Edajima Heihachi]] in ''Manga/SakigakeOtokojuku'' practically leaps off the pages with the sheer force of his hamminess. Him being voiced by Creator/DaisukeGori in the anime only adds to this.
--> "Washi ga Otokojuku jukucho, Edajima Heihachi de aru!" (Translation: "I am the principal of Otokojuku, Edajima Heihachi!")
* ''Anime/DeadLeaves'', in English at least, is a butcher shop of ham which makes sense when you see that Hiroyuki Imaishi directed it. Unfortunately, he forgot to make it funny in Japanese, so the dubbing crew took up most of the work, so it is undoubtedly funnier in English.
** Retro: Virtually all of his dialogue... it's incredibly hard to find a bit of dialogue where he's not freaking out, insane, or being a ScreamingWarrior. The number of lines that don't chew the scenery is ''barely'' enough to be counted on both hands.
** Triple-six: "YOUUUUU! PRISONER NINE-THREE-OOOOOOOOONE!"
*** "I wouldn't use those crappy bullets to ''SCRATCH MY ASS!!"''
* ''Anime/KazemakaseTsukikageRan'': Meow can be... enthusiastic when she introduces herself and other occasions. This involves a louder voice and practiced posing.
* ''Manga/YumekuiMerry'': Chaser John Doe.
** Not surprising considering that he shares his voice actor with the likes of [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Kotomine Kirei]] or [[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Alucard]]
* In ''Manga/FutureDiary'', the moment Twelfth started putting his costume on to [[spoiler: his death]], '''every time''' he's been on screen is to [[ChewingTheScenery Parody]] {{Sentai}} [[ChewingTheScenery superheros in the most over-the-top manner possible]]
* ''Anime/MawaruPenguindrum'' gave us the Princess of the Crystal and her [[IncomingHam "SURVIVAL STRATEGYYYYYY!"]] first, but charas like Masako Natsume and Yuri Tokikago hammed it up as well. To say nothing about [[spoiler: Masako's grandpa]] Sanbei, who manages to ham it up [[spoiler: '''from beyond the grave'''!]]
* ''[[WorldOfHam Everyone]]'' in ''Manga/{{Nichijou}}'' is a {{Large Ham}}, but special mention is given to the schoolgirl trio of [[ButtMonkey Yuuko]], [[HairTriggerTemper Mio]], and [[TheGadfly Mai]], who manage to provide noteworthy hammy moments in basically ''every'' episode.
* From the English dub of ''Anime/{{Beyblade}}'' we have one of the tournament commentators, "BRAAAAAAD BEST".
* Hanamichi Sakuragi from ''Manga/SlamDunk'' is, undoubtly, one of the hammiest [[SportsStories Sport Anime]] leads EVER.
-->"Muahahahahahahaha! I'm a '''GEEEEEEENIUS'''!"
* Hidenori in ''Manga/DailyLivesOfHighSchoolBoys'' hides his big ham tendencies under a (paper-thin) stoic shell. His DistaffCounterpart Yanagin doesn't even have that shell.
* ''LightNovel/TrinityBlood'' gives us Brother Petros, KnightTemplar leader of the Vatican Inquisition Division and enemy to vampires everywhere!! [[http://www.manga-access.com/manga/T/Trinity_Blood/chapter/11/36 Observe.]]
* Carina's father, Archduke Verritti, in ''VisualNovel/ShukufukuNoCampanella''. In his first appearance in the series, Nina trips him and sends him face first onto the floor (by orders of the Duchess, his wife) because he's about to traumatize Minette with his hamminess.
* Rufus Barma in ''Manga/PandoraHearts'' is a perfect example of this trope. He speaks in old English and often does so in a ridiculous manner.
** Xerxes Break is another ridiculous example. "I must say, in return for showing me such a repulsively wonderful dream, '''ALLOW ME TO GIVE YOU YOUR PUNISHMENT'''."
* Mewtwo in the English dub of ''Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie''. To put it in perspective, the Japanese version is slightly more philosophical and restrained in his demeanor. The English version, on the other hand, is much more flamboyant, being more prone to boasting and delivers his lines as if he was in a [[Creator/WilliamShakespeare Shakespearean]] play, not to mention having an [[BadassBaritone appropriately deeper voice]]. He's even a bit hammy in the moments right before he went stark raving bonkers.
* ''VideoGame/ZoneOfTheEnders'': Dolores, i gives us Baan Dorfloum, an inspector who is racist against Martians and is absolutely obsessed with finding and killing protagonist James Links, who he insists on calling [[ShoutOut John Carter]]. Every on-screen appearance is glorious.
-->--''John CARTER is perpetrating EVIL on MAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS!''
* In ''Manga/DetectiveConan'', [[PrivateDefective Kogoro]] [[ManChild Mouri]] has some tendancies toward this.
** Not just Mouri, but all of Creator/AkiraKamiya 's roles, from Manga/{{Kinnikuman}} to Literature/KaiketsuZorori. And while Creator/RikiyaKoyama ''can'' play subdued roles, when [[TheOtherDarrin he takes over as Kogoro]] he can be as hammy as Kamiya in the role.
** For small kids, the Detective Boys can get rather... hilariously hammy once in a while. Specially [[TheBigGuy Genta]].
** Whenever [[Creator/NaokoMatsui Sonoko]] is in full GenkiGirl mode, she can easily out-ham Kogoro and the kids with her super expressive behavior and more than one NoblewomansLaugh.
* Just about ''everything'' in ''Franchise/JoJosBizarreAdventure'' is done in an over-the-top, hammy way, something that's only amplified in the anime. Even the [[CombatCommentator Combat Commentary]] is over-the-top, with the end result being most battles involving more hammy shouting than you can shake a stick at. For some particularly standout examples:
** [[BigBad Dio Brando]] tops the list of hammy character in the series. Just about every scene he's in has him going on a bombastic monologue, and ''Creator/TakehitoKoyasu'''s performance in the anime only amplifies this.
** Robert E. O. Speedwagon is the signature CombatCommentator of the first 2 Parts, and spends most of his screen time passionately cheering on the other heroes.
** Joseph Joestar, ''especially'' in Part 2. While he's more or less mellowed out by Part 3, he still has [[BigOMG quite a]] [[BigNo few moments]].
** Rudolf von Stroheim from ''Manga/BattleTendency'', on account of him having NoIndoorVoice, will take any chance he gets to loudly declare that GERMAN SCIENCE IS THE GREATEST IN THE WORLD.
** Also from Part 2 is Kars, who actually starts out as TheStoic, but slowly becomes more hammy with each subsequent appearance, ''especially'' after [[spoiler:he becomes the [[UltimateLifeForm Ultimate Being]]]].
** In an interesting case, Star Platinum, the [[FightingSpirit Stand]] of [[TheStoic Jotaro Kujo]]. While it's User rarely shows any emotion, Star Platinum is one of the loudest Stands in the series.
** Jean-Pierre Polnareff, being the HotBlooded EmotionalBruiser he is, expresses every emotion he has in an over-the-top manner.
** Muhammed Avdol from ''Manga/StardustCrusaders'', while usually a calmer character, tends to ham it up a bit when [[MrExposition explaining things]].
** Gray Fly, Part 3's StarterVillain, [[TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse puts up the guise of a normal old man]], but once he's finally caught, he spends his final moments loudly declaring that the Crusaders will never reach Egypt to defeat DIO.
** Also from Part 3 is Enya Geil, who ''really'' enjoys talking about her Stand.
** While Josuke Higashikata from ''Manga/DiamondIsUnbreakable'' is one of the calmer [=JoJos=], their are plenty of moments where he gets ''extremely'' hammy, usually when summoning his Stand or when his BerserkButton is pressed.
** Also from Part 4 is Akira Otoishi, which is fitting, given he's a rock guitarist.
* Rider of ''LightNovel/FateZero'' is the living embodiment of this trope. Between his epic speeches, and general badassery, he steals the spotlight with every moment of screen-time he gets.
* ''Anime/{{Robotech}}'': So many examples. But mostly in a good way. It's worth remembering that the quirks and eccentricities in the original Japanese tracks would be totally lost in translation due to cultural differences. This is why the later straight dub of ''Anime/SuperDimensionFortressMacross'' tended to seem flat in comparison.
** Khyron: As voiced by Greg Snegoff. His voice is actually more memorable than the original Japanese voice which just made Khyron seem a little naughty. Snegoff's Khyron oozes evil. The novelizations noted that Khyron sounded like actor James Mason. He does, actually.
** Exedore: As voiced by Ted Layman. Spock on "speed".
** Ben Dixon as voiced by Richard Epcar. "HA HA HA HA HA.....".
** Angelo Dante, Dana Sterling, Anatole Leonard, Col. Fredericks, Zor Prime, Rand, Annie.
* ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato'': In the ''Star Blazers'' dub, Eddie Allen gave Desslok a much more sibilant voice, making him seem very {{Camp}}. In the original (voice by Masato Ibu), Desler had a typical bad guy's deep voice. Desslok's English language voice, however, does appear to fit in a different way as it emphasizes the decadent ruler that Desslok was at the time. Unfortunately, it became less fitting in Season 2 and 3.
** ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199'' gives us Herm Zoellik, a cutthroat GeneralRipper with a perchant for chewing the scenery in every scene he appears in every appearance he makes. Considering [[Creator/NorioWakamoto his voice actor]], this is to be expected.
* ''Manga/RurouniKenshin'' gives us an incredible, glorious ham in Houji Sadoshima. TheEvilGenius in Shishio's Juppongatana, Houji is both a great strategist and an incredibly HotBlooded guy who doesn't have the fighting skills of others, so he expresses his more passionate side via shouting half of his lines, showing his UndyingLoyalty in [[FinGore very painful ways]], having a '''massive''' VillainousBreakdown [[spoiler: after Shishio's death]], [[spoiler: commiting suicide [[DyingMomentOfAwesome in an incredibly showy way]] ]], and finally [[spoiler: laughing in joy as he goes to Hell, finds Shishio and Yumi there, and joins their plan to take HELL ITSELF over.]]
* In ''VisualNovel/ShoujotachiWaKouyaOMezasu'', The professional writer that Sayuki has Buntarou meet when he has WritersBlock talks in this manner, very loudly and often moving his arms around as well.
* ''Anime/PanzerWorldGalient'' has several examples:
** Redd Windu is very loud. Of course, given that his voice actor is Creator/ShigeruChiba, it's to be expected.
** [[TheDragon Hy Shaltat]] tends to make dramatic, loud speeches when he gets angry or thrilled:
--->'''Hy:''' Cur, who are you? I will expose your true might!
* In ''Manga/Brave10'', there are a few:
** Seikai tends to be noisy and [[TheBigGuy larger than life]] in general, with a dumb HotBlooded streak.
** Date Masamune is a BloodKnight with a tendency towards drama.
** Jinpachi pitches back and forth between this and being too cool to bother with anything. The hammier moments are usually prompted by anyone trying to tell him what to do or how to live.
* The protagonist Natsuki Subaru and especially the main antagonist of the third arc Petelgeise from ''LightNovel/ReZero'', either or both of which can be a BaseBreakingCharacter for you, make you laugh even during the shocking and horrific scenes because of the WrongGenreSavvy first and the absolutely insane behavior of the second.
* ''Manga/BlackClover'' has the protagonist Asta, who is so extremely HotBlooded that excitement or anything makes him SCREAM most of the time. He takes it up so seriously that he even screams when giving encouragement in otherwise quiet scenes. His rival and childhood friend Yuno is a quiet person but has been implied to admire Asta's impulsive behavior.
* ''Manga/SeraphOfTheEnd'' gives us the evil CombatSadomasochist Bishonen vampire Ferid Bathory.
* ''Anime/ZombieLandSaga'' has the girls' manager, Kotaro Tatsumi. Just during his morning meetings with the girls he's done things like pantomime ancient dance, dress as a batter and make a dead shot for Saki's face (don't worry, she's a zombie!), and pretend to blow through a giant conch shell.
* Frazer in Anime/{{Pikaia}}. Especially in the second season. He gets -loud-. Even the normally collected Irma seems intimidated.
* Karigari in ''Anime/TomicaHyperRescueDriveHeadKidouKyuukyuuKeisatsu'' makes everything into a production and has a flair for the overdramatic. He steals the spotlight whenever he appears.
* Clackey Ray in ''Anime/BattleSpiritsShonenGekihaDan'' is likely the biggest ham in the Battle Spirits franchise. Ranging from his tendency to shout things in GratuitousEnglish to his ability to generate roses and sparkles when trying to woo girls, he manages to be fabulous.
** Tegamaru Tanashi in ''Anime/BattleSpiritsHeroes''. Oddly enough, he starts out relatively calm, especially for a character voiced by Creator/JunFukuyama. By the time he's acquired the super-powerful Amaterasu Dragon card, he's become as over-the-top dramatic and crazy as can be.
** Rei in ''Anime/BattleSpiritsSaikyoGingaUltimateZero'' manages to be one in all his vaious forms, but his yellow "Zero the Glint" form is especially hammy. He treats his battles like a concert and generates an audience from thin air to cheer for him.
* Yamada from ''Manga/YamadaKunAndTheSevenWitches'' often shouts, generally exaggerates all of his moods, and he always overacts completely when he has swapped bodies with a girl and has to act like her (ramping up his idea of general girliness instead of actually trying to act like the individual girl).

In Japan, {{Large Ham}}s are known as "daikon", meaning "white radish". [[AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle And Now You Know]].

Now, on to business...

----
* [[WorldOfHam The entire cast]] of ''Anime/DogDays''.
* ''Manga/ChronoCrusade''
* ''Anime/TheBigO''
--->'''UNIVEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRSSSEEEEEEEE!!!'''
* ''Mazinger'' series:
--->'''Jaden:''' "Twenty-eight hundred!?"
* ''Anime/DragonBallZ''
* ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann''
* ''Anime/KillLaKill''
* ''Anime/CodeGeass''
* Dantalion, Bal Masque's MadScientist in ''LightNovel/ShakuganNoShana''.
* ''Anime/TigerAndBunny''
* ''Manga/{{Trigun}}'':
* ''Manga/MahouSenseiNegima''
* ''Anime/DragonBallZ''
---> "PROOODUUUUUUUCE!"
---> [[HilariousOuttakes "BRING ME TOMATOS!"]]
* ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}''
* Nozomu Itoshiki from ''Manga/SayonaraZetsubouSensei''.
---->"'''NOOOOOOOOW THOOOUUUU AAAAART MIIIIIIIINE!!!!!'''"
--> "'''[[GratuitousGerman JAWOHL!]]'''"
* Dark Schneider from ''Manga/{{Bastard}}''.
-->"'''LISTEN TO MEEEEEEE!!!''' "
* ''{{Anime/Pokemon}}''
* Tomo from ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh''.
--> '''WE ARE FAIRY TAIL!'''
* ''Manga/YumekuiMerry'': Chaser John Doe.
-->"Muahahahahahahaha! I'm a '''GEEEEEEENIUS'''!"
* ''Anime/PanzerWorldGalient'' has several examples:
* In ''Manga/Brave10'', there are a few:

* ''Franchise/JoJosBizarreAdventure'''s anime applies hamminess to practically ''everything'', including [[CombatCommentator Combat Commentary]], with the end result that most battles involve more hammy shouting than you can shake a stick at. Keeping that in mind, Creator/TakehitoKoyasu's Dio Brando is in a league all of his own: Even his non-combat interactions are dominated by near-constant scenery-chewing. ** [[BloodKnight The Major]] himself probably achieved his position by clubbing all other competitors to death with the sheer size of his ham. When he can launch into a ''ten-minute speech'' about how much he loves war and make it ''[[CrowningMomentOfAwesome awesome]]'', you've got a true ham on hand. That must have been one of the performances of Creator/NobuoTobita's life.

A close second would be Joseph, Old Joseph, and Very Old Joseph, who manages to go from career troll to gnawing on the set even while near-deaf and mostly senile.

But what the hell am I doing without examples?
