Horrible: Film

In Hollywood's long and illustrious career, we've seen many different kinds of films throughout the generations. Some films have become all-time classics that hold up to this day in many people's eyes and minds and will likely continue to be hailed as great movies from here until the end of time. Some are pretty average at best; nothing too great, but nothing awful either. They're neither substantial or terrible, they're just kind of forgettable. Some movies are often regarded as being incredibly cheesy and stupid, but have their perks because of how silly and dumb they can be, sometimes even becoming Guilty Pleasures in the process.

And then...there's these films. The kind of movies that, when brought up, immediately send shivers up even the most hardened critic's spine. The kind of films so bad that they fail to appeal to the niche audiences they're shooting for. Films so bad that they disrupt the very fabric of space and time and make even scientists question just how these freakish anomalies of film slipped through the cracks. These are the kind of films nobody wants to have to see; the kind of films you wouldn't even wish on your worst enemies.

In other words, don't say we didn't warn you if you want to see these films for yourself if you think these claims are exaggerated.

Important Note: Merely being offensive in its subject matter, a Box Office Bomb, or a film you don't plain like is not sufficient. Hard as it is to imagine at times, there is a market for all types of deviancy, no matter how small a niche it is. It has to fail to appeal even to that niche to qualify as this. (If you're unsure whether it belongs here or not, visit the discussion page and give us your input. Otherwise, if it's something you just plain don't like, please don't shoehorn it in, this isn't a page for complaining about things that fail to you.)

Second Important Note: It isn't a Horrible film just because anyone from That Guy with the Glasses and/or any other Caustic Critic reviewed it, or because it was on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Nor is it a Horrible film just because it earned a Razzie nomination/award for "Worst Picture." There needs to be independent evidence, such as actual critics like Roger Ebert and Leonard Maltin (emphasis on plural; Rotten Tomatoes is a good starting point to find those critics, and if the rating on RT is in the single-digits it's a potential candidate for this list) for example, to list it. (Though once it is listed, they can provide the detailed review.)
