The show features quite a lot of scenes that can be interpreted as HoYay for Oobi and Kako, mainly because they're hands and their only means of touching each other is with their fingers (which double as their faces and mouths).
- The most well-known example of a HoYay moment in this show is in "Showtime!" when Oobi and Kako are making their costumes for a play. Uma tries to help by adding glue, but she applies too much and glues them together. As they try to get unstuck, it looks like they're kissing and/or having an orgy...Joel McHale sums it up pretty well in his commentary on the episode.
- "Playdate!" is about Oobi getting a new pet turtle and completely forgetting about the playdate he was supposed to have with Kako. This leaves Kako extremely jealous, and the whole thing plays out like Oobi's cheating on him with the turtle.
- "Bubble Bath!" and "Uma Bathroom!" feature Oobi and Kako bathing together.
- The end of "Sleepover!" shows Oobi and Kako in the same bed (at the titular sleepover, of course).
- Oobi and Kako play pat-a-cake in "Uma Sick" by clapping their palms together. The anatomy of a hand puppet isn't clear, but they use their palms as mouths in most other scenes.
- Oobi and GRAMPU clap together in at least two episodes.
- Also, there's Tulla the dance teacher in "Dance Class!". Hoo boy....
