- Look no further than Re: Cutie Honey. The ridiculous levels of Foe Yay are one thing (Sister Jill pretty much spends the last third of the series demanding to know why Honey won't "unite" with her. And then there's Cobalt Claw...), but then there's the whole thing with Natsuko — She even turns her catchphrase into a borderline love confession after some serious Intimate Healing:
Honey: Sometimes, I'm a magnificent swordfighter. At other times, I'm sleeping beauty. However, my real identity is Aki Natsuko's inseparable partner... Warrior of love, Cutie Honey!
- This started in the original manga: as soon as Honey first went to school almost the entire student body started showing attraction (with Natsuko flat-out shoving another student out of her desk so there would be a free spot for her), and when the Airborne Element Solidifier malfunctions mid-transformation and leaves Honey naked in Sister Jill's presence the villainess is too charmed by Honey's beauty and wondering if she's falling for her to attack before the Solidifier starts working again.
