Go To

The Powerpuff Girls are loving sisters. Rather prone to bickering kind of sisters, but loving ones nonetheless.

The Show
  • In the episode "Princess Buttercup," just how elated Bubbles was at the sight of Buttercup coming back to save her and Blossom from the diamond trap Princess set. What made it especially sweet was how she cried out her name while sliding down the diamond wall, leaving behind a stream of joyful tears.
  • At the end of "The Stayover," when the girls are too exhausted and hungover to go to the water park the Professor wanted to take them to, they decide to give their tickets to a group of orphans who were routinely disappointed for not going to certain events due to their antics the previous night.
    • There's also something oddly adorable about Buttercup tiredly proclaiming "Olé!" before faceplanting into the floor.
    • From the same episode, we have the return of Robin. For those who don't know, Robin was only in one episode in the original show. The fact somebody chose to include her again shows that the creative team went back and watched the original.
  • Ms. Bellum's appearance at the end of "Bye Bye Bellum", where she reads about the Mayor saving the Powerpuff Girls in the newspaper and states that she knew the Mayor would do fine on his own.
  • At the end of "Tiara Trouble", Blossom and Buttercup hug Bubbles and apologize for being rude to her earlier. Awwww!
  • There are a couple in "The Wrinklegruff Gals".
    • While the girls accidentally make themselves elderly when they take too much of Professor Utonium's aging potion, their plan to earn respect from the older kids at school still works. What really sells it, though, is that all of the kids defend the girls when Mojo Jojo attacks them.
    • After Professor Utonium creates the antidote with the help of a monster he created by mistake, he hugs the girls after they apologize for wanting to rush growing up and tells them that he doesn't want them to ever grow up. The monster also joins in the hugging and states that it feels alright.
  • "Bubbles of the Opera"
    • Professor Utonium tells Bubbles that he considers her the cutest in the whole wide world to make her feel better about the hardships she's suffered that she is worried will ruin her cuteness.
    • Near the end, Buttercup and Blossom assure their sister that even if she isn't cute, she's still a good person. Buttercup reminds Bubbles that she took care of her when she got hurt while skateboarding, while Blossom brings up that when she got spinach stuck in her teeth and was made fun of for it, Bubbles put spinach in her own teeth to make her feel better.
    • At the very end of the episode, the woman who ruined Bubbles' school photo and her haircut appears asking to take a photo of Bubbles and her sisters for Townsville's newspaper. Even after all she's done, Bubbles is quick to allow this and even has the photo on the fridge at home.
  • Bubbles spends most of the episode "Road Trippin" thinking that Professor Utonium considers her The Unfavorite and becomes paranoid that he isn't paying attention to her and focusing on his tablet because he's deliberately ignoring her and only agreed to take her to Zeit Geist's art show because it would give him a chance to ditch her. Fortunately, Professor Utonium reveals that he does care about Bubbles, and that he was only spending so much time on his tablet because he knew Zeit Geist was Bubbles' favorite artist, and wanted to look up more information about her. After they defeat all the radioactive molemen that come out of Zeit Geist's sculpture, he even gives Bubbles her own nickname: Lightbeam.
  • When Bubbles cries about the slanderous article claiming she puts hamsters in jail in "Halt and Catch Silico", Buttercup can be seen comforting her by patting her on the back.
  • When the girls expose their darkest secrets to defeat the swapper in "Secret Swapper of Doom", the citizens of Townsville do not make fun of them for it and are even shown to be supportive of some of the secrets revealed.
  • The ending of "Poorbucks", where we see that Princess very clearly still retains her feelings of friendship toward Blossom, no matter how hard she tries to deny it. Blossom is even convinced that Princess can pull a Heel–Face Turn someday as a result.
  • In "Bubbles the Blue", Blossom and Buttercup's attempts to cheer Bubbles up, especially in the "your favorite things" song.
    • The Professor telling Bubbles that it's okay to be sad at times even if there is no specific reason for it.
    • The episode ends with Bubbles cheering up an Armadillo monster that her two sisters had been fighting earlier.
  • In Man Up 3: The Good, The Bad, The Manly, Blossom makes a speech about how anyone can over come adversity when they try hard enough.
  • In Toy Ploy Mojo learns the weaknesses of Blossom and Buttercup, but refuses to exploit them because he relates to them too much. Mojo learns of Bubbles' many weaknesses, but also won't exploit any of them, because she was the one person who acted nice to him on his birthday.
  • In Cat Burglar Buttercup is revealed to be volunteering at a soup kitchen, and acting chummy with the homeless.
