Heartwarming / The Good Son

• Probably the only heartwarming moment in the movie, surprising for a thriller, but late at night, Mark wakes up and thinks he sees his mother out in the hallway. He gets out of bed and goes downstairs, but it's only Susan. What he says is enough to make anyone's heart melt: "It is you. You came back. I knew you'd come back." Susan comforts him, as he cries...but then the moment is ruined when we see Henry watching.
• Most of the interactions between Mark and Connie also have some tenderness to them, such as working on a puzzle together or reading bedtime stories.
