Heartwarming / The Book of Eli

  • Though Redridge is The Dragon to Carnegie, he has a soft spot for Solara and sees Eli as a Worthy Opponent. Despite Solara indirectly causing Redridge to be impaled by Eli's blade, and him having the perfect opportunity to kill her (he grabbed her arm and pulled the blade out of his chest), he instead stepped outside of the car and kneeled down, accepting his impending death.
  • One of the last shots of the film shows the newly reconstructed Bible placed on a shelf alongside the Torah and Quran, as well as signficant works of science. The filmmakers could've made it an anvilicious story about Christianity being the greatest good, as well as surrendering to the contemporary Western fear of Muslims, but instead they show that the Bible is merely one important work of many.
