- Vera going out of her way to provide Lois with information on her brother. Her reason for it? She wants to help her brother, like he once did for her.

- The montage showing public support of the Elite growing after the death of Atomic Skull is grim, but it is softened by how the first two people interviewed say that they still respect Superman, even though they don't think his methods are effective.
- Manchester Black being legitimately enraged and horrified while convinced that Superman killed his team.Manchester: YOU CRAZY SON OF A BITCH! YOU KILLED MY TEAM!!
- Though they bicker constantly, Coldcast and Menagerie do appear to care about each other. Like when Coldcast was genuinely concerned when he thought Superman had killed Menagerie.
- If there ever was a line that describes why Superman fights for what he believes in, it's this one
