Original Run
- Episode 4:
- After recounting the tragedy of Mobius, Sonic asks in earnest if Mario and Luigi are still willing to help him gather the Chaos Emeralds now that they know about Mecha Sonic. Mario and Luigi respond by transforming into their cape forms and announcing who they are, reaffirming their mission. Sonic calls them awesome for it.
- Episode 7:
- After a brief moment of cowardice, Luigi finally summons the courage to jump into the Minus World and save his brother and friends after looking at a picture of himself with his brother Mario. It also briefly counts as a Moment of Awesome until Luigi finds himself surrounded by bloopers.
- Episode 8:
- Shadow's reason for acting so out of character is revealed through a very quick flashback to be the result of his friends Rouge and Omega being murdered by Mecha Sonic. Although mostly a Tear Jerker, it still shows he truly cared enough about them to let vengeance overshadow his logic.
- At least twice throughout the episode, Sonic has moments bringing him awfully close to Byronic Hero status, but Mario is quick to make sure he's okay, and brings him back to his usual self. Truly an inspiring change from the old rivalry their fans always perceived them as.
Reboot
- Episode 1:
- Bowser goes to roast Luigi while Mario's focusing on him, but Mario quickly catches on and jumps in the way of his fireball to save his brother. Doubles as a Moment of Awesome as he successfully directs it back at Bowser.
- When Bowser has the upper-hand and prepares to deal the killing blow to Mario, Luigi quickly jumps in and attempts to stop him. Bowser merely laughs this off and gives him just one chance to run away and hide like a coward, but Luigi continues to stand his ground, despite the visible fear in his expression.
- The episode ends with an In Memoriam of Monty Oum and Satoru Iwata after their passing in 2015 a little before and during the reboot's production. Also counts as a Tear Jerker.
- Episode 2:
- A small moment when we first see Bowser. While he is recovering from his injuries from the previous episode, Bowser Jr. is right by his father's side. Sorry for not being there with him instead of Kamek. Bowser, despite the pain he's in, reassures his son it wasn't his fault he lost against Mario.
- When Luigi falls from the Brute after trying to stop Wario and Waluigi, he only falls head over heels for a brief moment before Yoshi picks him up and the chase continues. In return, Luigi gives him a Dash Pepper, so they can gain on the Wario Bros. A great example of the pair being True Companions if there ever was one.
- Metallix's missiles blow up the cliff and Yoshi dangles from the edge. Luigi, without hesitation, rushes to try and pull his friend up. And when he’s too late, the first thing he does is rush to find the others for help.
- When Mario, Luigi, Sonic and Shadow arrive too late to save Yoshi, the brothers are horrified at the sight of their wounded friend. Luigi even cries for Yoshi and Mario furiously demands to know who was responsible. They even help each other to support Yoshi home. These two really love their dinosaur companion.
Real Life
- Just one day after the first episode was made public, Alvin's patreon reached $5.6k in donations. It goes to show how supportive the fans are of Alvin now that he's given the series another chance.
