Heartwarming / South Pacific

  • The ending definitely qualifies. We see Nellie, who for the past two acts has struggled with her drummed-into-her-skull racism, manage to get over it. The last scene opens with her having lunch with Emile's kids and talking to them about how the war is changing. And then Emile shows up alive, reunites with his kids and the woman he loves and is overjoyed that now they can finally be a family.
