- It's a very minor one, but Kale's masterful handling of things in "A Good Day's Work" is both heartwarming and awesome: when Donald Bloom attempts to murder Will and Will shoots him, Kale immediately comes over with a henchman and cleans things up, putting a comforting hand briefly on Will's arm before leaving. Made all the more poignant by the implication several episodes previously that Kale and Bloom used to be lovers.

- The typically emotionless Kale briefly strokes his sleeping boyfriend's hair when they're in bed together at one point; it's surprisingly tender.
