The two greatest pals in the universe, sharing a hug before what may be their final goodbye.
As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.
  • There are the radio requests from Talwyn to Ratchet. She doesn't even appear in this game and they still get a Ship Tease!
  • The Plumber, not only giving subtle hints for the future, gives life advice to Clank on how to talk to Ratchet about his new responsibilities, and leaves him with the cryptic hint of "I wouldn't risk more than 6 minutes."
  • Ratchet is willing to let Clank stay in the Great Clock if that's what he truly wants. But Clank, at the end, realizes what exactly he wants;
    Clank: I cannot stay. Discovering my family has made me realize that I cannot leave Ratchet. Not until he finds his own.
    • Before going, Clank promotes Sigmund to Senior Caretaker.
    Sigmund: Senior Caretaker? (Yells in elation, then bows thankfully at Clank) Thank you, sir.
    Clank: Take care, Sigmund.
  • All of Orvus’ interactions with Clank are this. During his first lesson as junior caretaker, even though Clank is confused by the presence of his supposed creator, Orvus has a very fatherly connection with him.
    • Orvus' final recorded message for Clank, all the more poignant in the ending when Clank decides to go with Ratchet rather than care for the Great Clock. Especially because Clank doesn't hear the entire message. It goes as far as the "not to be tampered with", which is when Clank shuts it off. Of his own will, Clank chooses to be with his friend Ratchet.
      Orvus: The Clock, much like time itself, is a gift, and not to be tampered with. But like any father, my only wish is that my son does that which makes him feel whole. You are an intelligent and logical being, Clank, but intelligence and logic would have been wasted gifts without honor and loyalty. I am proud to see you came into those on your own. So, should The Clock be too small for your plans, I pray the cosmos light the way towards a future, you yourself design. And remember, the universe has a wonderful sense of humor. The trick.. is learning how to take a joke. Heheheheheh!
  • The Fongoid children you rescue in Zolar Forest. They treat Ratchet as a father figure of sorts, in contrast to the other Fongoids who are less accepting of outsiders.
    • The kid who accompanies Ratchet and Qwark into the Zoni temple and later gets captured by Lord Vorselon clearly has a ton of faith in Ratchet. After Ratchet exits with the Zoni Vessel, Qwark is shocked that he survived, while the kid confidently claims that he knew he would.
  • The aftermath of the Battle of Axiom City. Several of the Terachnoids go on the radio after the VX-99 is destroyed to thank and praise Ratchet for saving them, with one even calling him a hero. Shortly afterwards, Azimuth tells Ratchet that if he knew that the latter had survived Tachyon's genocide against the Lombaxes, he would've taken Ratchet in and raised him, before concluding that he and Ratchet are family.
  • After returning from the past, where they defeated Commander Argos in the Battle of Gimlick Valley, the valley is in a much better state than it was when Ratchet & Clank were first stranded there. The valley’s inhabitant Fongoids create a monument to the two heroes that defeated Argos and stories of their battle can be overheard, with one younger Fongoid even discussing Clank’s connection to Orvus - something Ratchet didn’t even know about until they arrived at the Great Clock.
