At the end of the second game, Jim, part of the Veggie Division, is sent to the Arctic Circle Tundra Division for helping Nelson out. Out of kindness, Nelson gives him all of his backup Puzzle Sensei magazines (from the 1st issue to now). When Jim asks if the magazines have all the answers, Nelson answers that he placed them all on tracing paper. This is the closest we see Nelson having a friend.
Nelson got a photo of Issac and Glori, in the Bermudas showing the two are reunited and happy again.
