• A child mistakes Florence for a theme park character? Fine with her.
• "I'm just glad you're safe."
• Helix observes that Florence doesn't look comfortable in her sleep, so he gets her his teddy bear. Awwwww.
• The value of helping someone else out that's in need.
• "You were willing to believe the worst of people. Why not the best?"
• "If we're both destined to live our lives alone, there's no reason why we can't do it together."
• "When [the life form robots create] ask 'Where are your creators?', what do you plan to tell it?" "Probably something like 'Let's go meet the neighbors.'"
• "When they bring in donuts, they have names."
• "The next time I see Winston, I need to have his shirt recharged."
• We don't see much about Florence's childhood, but this anecdote makes up for a lot of that.
  • Likewise, there's that one time when she met her gestational mother, who recognized her as her pup/daughter.
• After Winston learns via research that Bowman's Wolves are hard-coded to follow direct orders from humans, he takes a moment to confirm that Florence is with him of her own free will, and learns that he's not authorized to give her direct orders. His reaction? "Good. It would be scary to have that kind of power over someone." With a smile, Florence thinks "It would be even scarier to be with someone who wanted that kind of power."
• After the debate, Max Post is frustrated at how chaotic things became by the end of it. Sam helps put it in perspective.
  Sam: Yeah. Look at it. Humans are on stage. Robots are in the audience. It's messy and noisy and everyone is engaged and having fun. It's not good to have too much order. Unless you have some chaos, there's no room for new things to grow.
• "Apparently, being a fellow veteran is a stronger bond than being of the same species."
• "You know, it's really weird and kind of exhilarating to see the A.I. I've developed doing things I can't do."
• "I needed to see if you would choose based on your needs or the needs of your species. The correct answer was to choose what was best for your species. Instead, you chose based on what was best for the pup. There's a funny thing that happens when you know the correct answer. It throws you when you get a different answer that's not wrong."
• It turns out that one of the veterans who reached out to the uplifted chimps was Henri's father.
  Henri: For an animal that was uplifted to be a weapon, you sure have a high opinion of the human race.
  Dr. Bowman: I blame your dad.
• The moment you find out why Sam wants his own planet.
• Winston reflecting on his relationship with Florence.
  Captain Kirk never had these problems. On the other hand, Captain Kirk never got this lucky.
• The Chief does everything in his power to avert any possible scenario in which Clippy hurts himself in any form or way, even though this might allow Mr. Ishiguro the chance to delete incriminating data if he wanted to. This is the payoff: a simple, wordless scene. Ishiguro is meeting with Clippy alone, and in a room designed to prevent all outside electronic communication. The moment Clippy sees Ishiguro, he takes his frown off, and turns upside-down. A simple, but clear sign that he's happy to see his original master again.
  • Immediately after, Clippy assumes they're both dead because of the endless white void they're sitting in, and warns Ishiguro not to make threats because he'll get "sent to the bad place" - which Clippy would happily follow him to.
  • Their reunion ends with Clippy asking for some time to think, which Mr. Ishiguro assures him that he's definitely earned some vacation time for his years of service.
    Clippy: And back pay?
    Mr. Ishiguro: With that question, I think you have a very good chance of a full recovery.
• Ishiguro decides to adopt Clippy into his family to help repay the damage Kornada inflicted upon him.
• The mayor decides to drive around the entire planet, something no one has done before and no one will be able to do again since the oceans are coming in soon. The heartwarming part is that she invites the Jar-Jar bot to come with her, despite earlier saying she was afraid of robots doing everything interesting before she had a chance to. This is her solution: Do something interesting with them.
• Florence is now staying with Winston while the crew are on Jean. Sam's finding it an adjustment.
• Florence's interest in engineering stemmed from her working as a "Helper Dog" with a neighbor boy who had cerebral palsy. Doubly so, as it turns out that she was denied entrance into gradeschool as a student, so her parents realized they could work around that by getting her in a different way.
  Florence: As a kid, you think whatever situation you grow up in is normal. It's only when you're older and look back that you realize how odd things really were.
• They might be a bit odd, but it's very clear that Winston's parents have a very loving relationship.
• Niomi and Florence's interaction gives Winston's father a brief pause as he discovers a flaw in his thought process - in any future of their relationship he imagined, he never considered one where it would be regarded as normal.
• Ambiguity in Florence's order leads to the factory robots wanting to interpret Florence's "we don't have a reactor for our ship" request as "get us a new ship", given she has the credit to pay for it; Sam is the first one back to receive the ship's message when the factory asks for clarification. He gives himself a good reason why asking for the new ship is good for Florence, opens his mouth to put the order through... and he can't do it. He knows Florence won't approve, and he can't bring himself to violate that trust.
