• In the December 1994 issue, on the "Hello" page, founding editor Tommi Lewis gave a heartfelt goodbye to readers that was also a Tear Jerker if you read in between the lines:
  "Chief Tommi here with some news. D.A. is moving to New York. I can't go, but I'm sure the new guys have some mondo fun stuff planned for you. I hope wherever I end up, we'll find each other. Until then, I'm hiding in this magazine one last time. [...] Goodbye and ADVENTURE ON!"*

  Tommi later went on to edit TEEN Magazine in the latter half of The Nineties. At present, she occasionally blogs for The Daily Green from Good Housekeeping, as well as a Disney parenting blog. So, in a way, at least a few readers of DA in the early '90s did find Tommi again, and may continue to do so now that they have kids of their own.
