* Any time Buddy's kids are shown working at the bakery with him, Buddy always comments how special it is to him because it brings back memories of him at their age working with his father as well as his kids taking an interest in the family business.

"Soap, Sonograms and Surprises": Buddy and his oldest son, Buddy Jr., bake a cake together. Aw...Aw...
** In the episode "Cake Smash", Buddy was hired to make some "smash" cakes for the first birthdays of a trio of babies, and wanting to get some recon on it, he had his wife, Lisa, bring in their youngest son, Carlo (who was around a year old at the time), and see what he do with a cake in that situation--but rather than destroy the cake, Carlo imitates what his dad normally does with cakes (decorating them and whatnot). Buddy, Lisa and Buddy's sisters (particularly Buddy's sisters) found this to be absolutely adorable.
** "Ships Ahoy, Mary's Mix-Up and Elevator Error" has Buddy Jr., who's roughly 10 or 11 years old when the episode was filled, working along side Buddy on his teenage twin cousins' cake for their Catholic Confirmation. Said cousin Joseph says, "The Buddys know how to do it".
** In "Father's Day Collapse, Buddy's Surprise, And Tee Time" all four of Buddy's kids (Sofia, Buddy Jr., Marco, and Carlo) surprise him with a cake they made on their own at the bakery without him finding out.

* Mary was briefly taken out of the bakery after being accused of being mean to some of the employees--she was eventually rehired, and by that time, she and Buddy managed to patch things up and acknowledged that Buddy, as the boss, had to do what was best for the business, but that they're still family and that they would eventually work things out.

** Buddy hires Paul, a former contestant from one of Buddy's reality shows Next Great Baker, after the hurricane took away everything, despite him and Ashley, the winner of said season, strongly disliking each other and Buddy (and later Joey) reminds them that the job isn't a competition. It's nice to see Buddy giving people who had hard times to get back on their feet.

* In "A Barter, A Baker, And An Italian Professor" two preteen brothers whose family owns a pizza business offer the bakery a deal to trade free pizza for 3 1/2 months in exchange for a cake because the boys, being just children, have no form of income to pay money with but wanted to get their little sister a customized pony cake for her 6th birthday party the two of them throwing without their parents' help.
