- In episode 5, the Mikogami sisters try to find a cat a schoolmate lost named Maro. Riko eventually finds her at the top of a house's roof, but as the sunset makes her sleepy, she hugs Maro as they both sleep together.
- In episode 22, Arai the raccoon Kibagumi runs away from the Hatori mansion after getting tired of being mistreated by Misa. He's later found in raccoon form by the Mikogami twins and take him home under the name of "Racc-chan". They all take care of him, and he felt happy. It gets better in the end, where he decides to go back to the mansion to find out that the rest of the Kibagumi were getting worried about him.Shishiyama: Took you long enough, don't you think? We were all waiting for you to come home.Arai: Eh? You were?Kirino: Damn straight.Daizou: We're all buds here in the Kibagumi, aren't we?Kabaya: Misa-sama won't find out, so you can relax.Arai: E-Everyone...
- In episode 23, a bird flies to Tamao's window. They eventually get fond of each other.
- In episode 36, Riko and Ken get stuck inside a cave. When Riko starts feeling cold, Ken offers to give her warmth.
- Episode 48. Haruka reponds to Riko's plea. She tells her to calm down and to try to imagine what the mouse is thinking and talk to him. After he comes back, Riko cries of happiness because of it.
