• A retrospective and subtle one, but when Knuckles is talking about why the Chaos Emerald are dangerous, he mentions that it "cause good friend go insane." How is it heartwarming? He's referring to Sonic. Despite the limited interaction, the fact he refers to Sonic as a good friend shows that he cares for him and "fox boy" (Tails.)
