• There seems to be an obvious implication that the wizards need the halves of the scroll to cast a spell, and it's always the same scroll. If this is the case, then why won't Mauricio and Jacob simply steal the halves and then burn them?
  • If this is any answer, they tried it in the book, but the scroll proved to be able to fend for itself and prevent attempts at destroying it.
  • In the series, it's even harder because the wizards keep their respective halves hidden from each other whenever they're not using them.
    • In short, the same reason why neither Tyrannia nor Bubonic simply steals the other half and kicks the other person out despite their Teeth-Clenched Teamwork.
