Headscratchers / The Flash (2014) S3E17 "Duet"

• How does Barry know enough about Superman to not be impressed by him, much less do an impression of him? Most of the time he was on Earth-38 (Kara's world) he was either trying to:
  • Get back home
  • Help Kara capture criminals
  • Helping upgrade the local prison
    • Well, he did do a quick Internet search when looking for S.T.A.R. Labs, so maybe he also looked up superheroes of Earth-38.

    • There's also the time he spent hanging out with Kara during the second crossover, not to mention that it's not impossible there's been a third, offscreen crossover involving Barry and Superman since that point (especially considering how the first was never even mentioned onscreen for a whole season).

    • He is also Fire-Forged Friends with her. Shared experiences make for better friendships.

• Why doesn't Team Flash ask Supergirl, Martian Manhunter and Mon-El to help them defeat Savitar? The Speed Force said Barry had to solve his problems alone, but Kara, J'onn and Mon-El are easily the most powerful beings on Earth 1, so it's not like their lives are in danger.
  • They only came to Earth-1 to warn Barry and deal with the Music Meister. They have their own Earth to take care of; they can't wait around for Savitar to show up. And Savitar might just not show up if he knew Kara and J'onn were waiting for him. Especially given that Savitar has all of Barry's memories.

• So the Music Meister is an alien in this one? Or is the DEO just assuming that? Because he seems more like Mr. Mxyzptlk, in other words "basically a magic dude", complete with Blue-and-Orange Morality and Can't Argue with Elves. In fact this troper experienced confusion at first for he believed he WAS Mr. Mxyzptlk when he first appeared. This seems like a drastic shift from the other aliens of Earth-38, many of whom don't seem to have any kind of special powers.
  • He may well have set things up so that he did something with super-powers or something else that seemed alien. Given his immense Combo Platter Powers, it probably wouldn't be too hard.

• The head of one crime syndicate is called "Cutter," because he likes to cut people. Imagine what "Digsy" likes to do? Bury People, maybe?
