Moving a WMG to WMG

* Not actually headscratchers, but really WMG, but I'm gonna toss this out here: The board game Pandemic? The players in that game are working against the players of the flash game. Which is why you can't really manage killing ''everyone'' very frequently.
** Incidentally, you can't get to Madagascar in that game either.

** People presumably go to the doctor for reasons other than your disease, so it's still possible that the pathogen would be detected by chance. If it turns out that half the population in a particular country is infected with a parasite, even a seemingly harmless one then people are going to get worried.
*** Um... most parts of the human body are swarming with countless different species of benign microorganisms (gut flora, mouth amoeba, etc etc). New strains are popping up every once in a while, and should never cause a doctor to worry. So that argument doesn't really work.

** In light of the coronavirus outbreak of 2020, this particular point here is...interesting to look back on, to say the least.

* What is wrong with everyone in this game! ''*cough* '' I mean, if my disease was full of fevers and boils, I would understand people closing their borders. But I've made a virus with ''no symptoms'', an-- '''President Madagascar, a man on Wiki/TVTropes is coughing!''' -- Madagascar still clo'''SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING.'''

** [[AcceptableBreaksFromReality Because the game is hard enough without having to essentially spread your disease more than once.]] If you want an in-universe explanation, maybe the disease already has those symptoms and whatnot in it's DNA, but they're in latency, and you upgrading them is actually just signaling that genetic code to activate and express that trait.

** VideoGameCrueltyPotential. (Also, its a basic tool to learn/teach how a disease spread).
* What kind of sick person would you need to be to actually enjoy this game?
** Someone who loves insanely hard puzzle/strategy games, clearly.
*** What I mean is the premise. I mean, for crying out loud, it's a game about killing off the world's population with a bioweapon. Even by the standards of video game violence, that's pushing it.
** The same people that enjoys playing ''DEFCON''?
** People who appreciate BlackComedy.
** Deadly viruses in need of a little escapism? (we get bored too)
** People who understand the difference between game/art and reality?
** OmnicidalManiac!
** What's bad about removing these stupid and annoying pests?
** I'm gonna have to agree with the person who said ''DEFCON''. After all, ''DEFCON'' does come with the subtitle ''Everybody Dies''.
** It's not a bioweapon, it's just a virus/bacteria/parasite. This kind of thing has the potential to pop up and not everyone CAN kill the whole population, so those viruses that don't just end up being the flus and colds of the world. It's a survival simulation as much as it is an apocalypse simulator.

** I'm not sure what you mean. The game only tracks the people who have specifically died from the disease. Or do you mean a sudden population drop after a natural disaster?

*** The region's populations are given a fairly believable number. I know there are more than 51,000 people living in Greenland, but it's still an extremely sparsely populated area of the world, and hard to live in to boot, so it's population is expected to be low. I would think that if an earthquake hits Indonesia, it only seems right that a couple thousand people of the near 4 million living there would die.
