[[folder: The Machine in the Amber Universe]]
* Maybe I just missed it, but after Peter is erased from existence, how do the other characters assume the machine was activated and did what it was supposed to do?

[[folder: William Bell over there]]
* What exactly is William Bell's job/role in the alternate universe? He has the capability of snatching Olivia from the prime universe and has a fancy office and staff in the World Trade Center, but it's made clear later that Massive Dynamic doesn't exist in the Red universe, so he wouldn't have the resources from the Blue universe to fall back on. The shape-shifters were invented by him but he and Walternate are enemies, and Bell isn't exactly in hiding. So what is he doing there?

** Remember that "Treehouse of Horror" episode of ''Series/TheSimpsons'' where Homer somehow discovers time travel? After bouncing around different universes caused by his meddling for the episode, he eventually ends up in one where everything is ''almost'' as it should be, except everyone has really long tongues and eats like frogs... and after everything he's been through, he just shrugs it off with "Eh, close enough." Same thing here. Ultimately, the most important thing for him is Olivia, she is here, and she ends up somehow remembering him and loving him. Close enough.

*** Also, just basic RuleOfDrama. The series is set in the present day, so it's easier to arrange and there's more drama to the characters having to face such an invasion in the present day rather than having to contrive some reason for them having to deal with it around the time of the Renaissance.

** Retroviruses like HIV and HTLV write their DNA into that of their host, these ones only effect leucocytes, but if you had a retrovirus that affected sperm or eggs then every descendant of the infected person would also be infected from conception. Bonus points: up to 8% of all human DNA may be made up of non-functional fragments of retroviruses which have become "fossilised" in th human genome, they're called Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVs)

** Alternatively: through a series of bizarre circumstances, the logo and costume for the Mantis happens to look oddly similar to that of Batman.

** Batman exists, but in the other universe he is simply a minor character rather than the pop culture juggernaut he is in the primary universe, and his status as pop culture juggernaut is held by the Mantis instead.
