It sure was convenient, and it was a cool scene, but what possible in-universe reason is there to have a working phone in a bathroom?

** They knew that everyone in Pendragon was either already Geassed by Lelouch or willingly serving a guy who was doing everything in his power to be the most hated despot in history. Besides that, no one in the UFN really cared about Brittanian elites in the first place.

* Was rewatching the third episode of the first season, when Lelouch pulls off his pre-recorded gambit to fool Kallen to shake off her suspicion of him. Question is... Why is there a ''phone'' in the bathroom of all places?

* Okay, here's a JBM: what's with all the hatred for Nina? Yes, she's an AxeCrazy PsychoLesbian who set off what is basically a nuke, (actually, said nuke was set off by Suzaku, who was acting under the influence of his 'Live' geass given to him by Lelouch, so those two are certainly at fault for its detonation as well, especially the latter), and of course the whole "Table-kun" incident, but...seriously, it's not like she's the only one who's done anything stupid/callous/evil in that show. Hell, just look at Shneizel - at least to me, he stands out as being ''absolutely frickin' insane'', even by ''Code Geass'' standards! Lelouch and Suzaku (both of whom I like) are [[AntiHero morally gray characters]] with body counts totaling in perhaps the thousands, have [[KickTheDog kicked the proverbial dog several times over]] (occasionally, the dog [[KickTheSonOfABitch they kicked would be each other]]), have used questionable means to attain good ends, etc. It's obvious Nina is mentally and emotionally screwed-up, her racism toward the Japanese came from bad experiences with them in the Shinjuko ghetto, and when she was rescued by Princess Euphemia, she developed a [[RescueRomance deep]] (if [[{{Yandere}} unhealthy]]) [[LesYay attraction to her]], and [[FromBadToWorse got even more mentally/emotionally screwed-up]]. This series being the DysfunctionJunction that it is, and with the obvious implication that she lacks social skills, it's surprising to me that people are so quick to attack her for her actions. However, I'm certainly not justifying what she did, but [[BlackAndGrayMorality it's not like she's unusual for it either]].

** Furthermore, she's one of the only characters to seek any sort of redemption. She's obviously mortified by the outcome of FLEIA and ends up helping Lelouch in order to atone for her sins. Do we ever see Jeremiah or Viletta do that? No, they ruthlessly slaughter many of the Elevens and still manage to get relatviely happy endings. It's the same with Cornelia, Anya and Gino. They kill lots of people and never really pay the price, and yet the fans still love them to pieces.
*** Lets be fair, almost nobody likes Gino. He's a waste of character from a concept that mostly didn't come to fruition due to either the timeslot change or ExecutiveMeddling, maybe its because he's present in both OPs and the main promotional art that he somehow stuck around, but in the grand scheme of things he mostly shows up to say something obvious or try to woo Kallen over ([[DieForOurShip which in itself is more bad writing]]). Anya would be too if she hadn't been tagged with the Plot Convenience SoulJar duty, though she also kind of borders on just being "there". People like Cornelia because she's shown to be ruthless on the battlefield but kind to her family, she's an excellent opponent for Lelouch throughout Season 1 and other than personally thinking she should have joined forces with the Black Knights rather than team up with Schnizel her characterization mostly stayed the same between the seasons, instead of becoming badass (Jeremiah, who also had sympathetic qualities) or even more of a Traitorous Slug (Viletta). Personally instead of adding the dumb new characters who show up once or twice, they should have maybe put a bigger focus on Nonette Enneagram, who already had development in the Visual Novel and was an established character. Though naturally this would require the VN to have been translated to get said development.

* Aside from moar angst related reasons[[note]]which, granted, is practically the basis of causalty for everything on this show[[/note]], why ''did'' they put FREYA on Lancelot? Lloyd lampshades how stupid this is, pointing out quite reasonably that there's no reason to graft a strategic weapon onto a tactical one, but then they go and do it anyway. The closest to a good reason they offer is to have FLEIJA in Suzaku's hands, because they all think he's a trustworthy and outstanding guy (despite [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder massive evidence to the contrary]]), but they could have just given him a detonator. Also, why isn't there any [[IncrediblyLamePun fallout]] for Suzaku for this--are Knights of Rounds really immune to standing trial for ''killing millions''? (Actually, that would explain how Luciano was still a member...and be a pretty good example of how friggin' corrupt that system is.)

** Probably just planned on having the UFN break up the country the way they suggested he do before Suzaku burst into the school.

* Why did so many characters not seem concerned about Pendragon's destruction? Did they all believe Schniezel's lie about the city's evacuation, or did they simply not care?

\n** V.V. and the rest of the Geass Order didn't really give a shit about Rolo as anything more than a tool used to kill people. Why bother fitting him with a pacemaker that could go off at security checkpoints and compromise his position when they've got dozens of replacement kids waiting in the wings?
