    • The Reveal that the "Space Pirate" who'd been chasing Ryoko is actually, Mihoshi.
    • After being revealed as the space pirate, Ryoko suddenly dropped her friendly pretense, and goes after both Tenchi and Mihoshi. When Tenchi prepares to face her, after a tense moment of them glaring at each othernote , she then reverts back to her friendly behavior and "surrenders". While Mihoshi reads her rights, Ryoko zaps her warrant, and Mihoshi breaks down in tears for forgetting.
  • Episode 2 "No Need for a Princess", Tenchi's response to Ayeka warning him about how dangerous Ryoko can be.
Tenchi: (throws a grumpy Disapproving Look at Ryoko) Yeah, well she's not my favorite alien.
  • Ryo-Ohki's birth in episode 3, "No Need for Worries".
    • Nobuyuki praying to his wife’s shrine that “their first grandchild has been born healthy and looks like Tenchi”. Tenchi shouts in annoyance how Ryo-Ohki even resembles him. Sasami doesn’t make it any better by holding the cabbit next to his head, claiming “a perfect match”, much to Tenchi’s displeasure.
    • Mihoshi’s Bait-and-Switch comment when she noticed that Ryoko named the cabbit Ryo-Ohki, which is the same name as her spaceship. Everyone else noticed it as well and came to the same conclusion, except Mihoshi, who thought Ryoko must “really like the name Ryo-Ohki”. Everyone does a face-plant while Ryo-Ohki continues to happily eat her carrots.
    • Ryo-Ohki's obsession with carrots leading her to crash into Sasami's ship.
  • Episode 5, Mihoshi casually introducing Kiyone to Ryoko like she's an old friend.
Mihoshi: (cheerful) And this is the Space Pirate Ryoko.
Ryoko: (casual smile and a wink) Hey. How yeh doin?
    • Kiyone presses her authority and declares Ryoko under arrest. After the commercial break, The residents of the Masaki household, including Kiyone, were enjoying the lunch Sasami cooked up. Moments later, Kiyone calls out what the hell she was doing having lunch with these people and whatever happened to the scene buildup from before.
  • Episode 7 "No Need for Carnival", all the girls antics during the carnival.
  • Episode 8 "No Need for a Genius", all of Mecha-Washu.
    • By the end, Washu creates Mecha-Washu 2. To her shock, the robot had Ryo-Ohki's personality. Ryoko laughs her head off while Washu could only cry in embarrassment.
  • Part II of the "Time and Space Adventures" (episode 12) arc reveals Sasami's idea of a perfect world. One where she's a magical girl heroine called Pretty Sammy, and thus creating the Magical Girl Pretty Sammy spinoff. Her idea of getting Ryoko and Ayeka to make peace with each other seemed questionable as Sasami made them get a little too friendly with each other.
    • In Part III, Ryoko's "perfect" world has herself and Tenchi cast into the roles of a Bonnie and Clyde-like duo on the run from the law. With Ayeka cast as Tenchi's rather disgruntled fiancée.
      • During the newsreel while Kiyone speaks to the press, Mihoshi just smiles and waves.
    • "Calm down, old maid, calm down."
  • Episode 14, "No Need for a Rebellion". After Washu explains what happened with the Jurian military, Tenchi learns that the Masaki house was shrunk down to the size of a briefcase.
    • That and poor Azaka and Kamidake got miniaturized as well.
  • Episode 16, “No Need for Hiding”. Kiyone gets annoyed no one was answering her calls, reason being everyone was busy singing on a karaoke machine. After getting everyone’s attention, Kiyone informs them the Yagami is almost out of fuel and that they hardly have any cash to get fueled up. Washu points out they should’ve have some petty cash on them, until Sasami informed her they spent it all on the karaoke machine, which horrifies Ayeka. Ryoko demanded who was stupid enough to waste their cash on it, to which Washu replies it was Ryoko who did it.
    • In the same episode, the group has to open a hostess bar to make back the money Ryoko spent on the karaoke machine. They got the business rolling by basically kidnapping a man off the street and forcing him to be a customer. Tenchi quite literally drags the poor man to his table.
  • Episode 19, “No Need for Runaways”. The Yagami gets hijacked by a pair of delinquents, where they give chase on Ryo-Ohki. The delinquent pair soon realize they jacked the wrong ship as they get pursued by the Galaxy Police, being mistaken for Ayeka and her group. The delinquents immediately cry for mercy, Kiyone being ashamed that wimps like these managed to steal her ship.
    • After reclaiming the ship, the group jettison the thieving pair out into space.
    • Tenchi realizing to his horror that in their haste to reclaim the Yagami, they had accidentally left Ayeka and Sasami back at the restaurant. The two in question were being forced to wash dishes to pay off the meal the group had.
  • Episode 20, "No Need for Swimsuits!". The idea of a hardened Bounty Hunter like Nagi participating in a swimsuit competition. Even funnier: She wins... by a landslide!
    • When the girls were deciding on what swimsuit to wear in the upcoming contest, Tenchi Katsuhito, and Nobuyuki sit by watching, the latter giving the most lecherous look.
  • Episode 21, “No Need for a Checkpoint”. Tenchi being forced to disguise himself as a schoolgirl.
  • Episode 23, “No Need for Karma”. Mihoshi brings out the party’s dinner, which was a pot of carrots. They wonder where Ryo-Ohki is at since this would get her attention. As Mihoshi cooks the pot, the carrots inside move, and out bursts Ryo-Ohki screaming in pain from nearly being cooked alive.
  • Near the end of episode 26 "No Need for a Conclusion", all of Tenchi's group are cleared of any criminal charges. Washu is even given an award and promises to only invent things that help people. A short time later... she's caught inventing new weapons again.
