It can be difficult to tell whether or not Balent is trying to be serious when he includes gems like these:
- "Samantha Brown! You've got to get out of here! Your vagina is haunted!"
- When Jon swears he'll stop the ghosts from murdering other women to retrieve their body parts, they calmly reply that this time they won't give him the address of their next target. Sure enough, Jon fails to stop them from murdering the other women, cementing his status as one of (if not the) worst superheroes of all time.
- "You killed my boobie spiders, you jerk!" Funny both in and out of context.
- After a discussion on human's effects on the environment between the mermaid witch and Tarot, the mermaid throws a octopus at Tarot and yells "Progress!"

- The same issue has a moray eel bite Tarot's vagina. Her reaction, and the dotted teeth marks from the bite, are oddly amusing.
- With great breasts comes great power. I refuse to believe that Balent wrote that with a straight face.
