  • The exchange in Lady Bird and Julie's argument; one of the film's most memorable scenes.
Julie: Jenna is a moron, you know.
Lady Bird: She's not, she's in AP Calculus.
Julie: She's a moron in a deeper sense.
Lady Bird: You don't even know her.
Julie: Ms. Patty assigned you a role, by the way, you just never showed up to claim it.
    Lady Bird: What role?.
    Julie: "The Tempest".
Lady Bird: THERE IS NO ROLE OF "THE TEMPEST".
Julie: IT IS THE TITULAR ROLE.
Lady Bird: NO, IT'S A MADE UP THING SO WE ALL CAN PARTICIPATE.
Julie: YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU'RE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION, CAN YOU?
Lady Bird: Yeah, well, you know your mom's tits, THEY'RE FAKE; TOTALLY FAKE.
Julie: SHE MADE ONE BAD DECISION AT 19.
    Lady Bird: TWO BAD DECISIONS.
  • Lady Bird victoriously screaming to the sky following her first successful date is both hilarious and adorable.
  • Lady Bird getting incredibly drunk at her New York college dorm and then proceeds to vomit right after making out with a guy she met at a party. The Smash Cut of her being put on the stretcher is hilarious.
  • The first things Lady Bird buys on her eighteenth birthday are cigarettes, a lottery scratchcard and an issue of Playgirl simply because she's now of legal age to do so.
    • She's then smoking outside while gawking at the nude male centerfolds in a manner evoking a Smoking Hot Sex scene.
  • The opening scene when Lady Bird is with her mother and, after having enough of them arguing, actually unstraps herself, opens her door and jumps out of the car. Cut to her wearing a pink arm cast.
    • With "FUCK YOU MOM." written on it.
  • Lady Bird: "I WAS ON TOP; WHO THE FUCK IS ON TOP THEIR FIRST TIME?"
    • Kyle immediately responds with "You have any, like, awareness of how many civilians we've killed since the Invasion in Iraq started?
  • Father Walther "directing" the play, while still being just a football coach
Father Walther: (scribing lines on a chalk-board, as if explaining field tactics) Danny's not singing. He's all alone... Singing. Eight, nine, ten... YOU COME IN HOT! YOU COME IN HOT!
