Despite being Darker and Edgier than the Slice of Life of Touken Ranbu - Hanamaru, but here are few funny and humor moments in the series.

To the Frontlines
- The exchange between Izuminokami Kanesada, Horikawa Kunihiro and Konnosuke:Horikawa Kunihiro: Hey, I thought doing stuff like that could change the course of history?
Izuminokami Kanesada: If it does, all I gotta do is come back and take out that kid, right?
Konnosuke: I didn't see a thing. - After Mutsunokami was summoned, Izuminokami wasn't expecting to see him in battle.Izuminokami Kanesada: Mutsunokami! Why'd you have to come, dammit?
Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki: Hey, don't look at me. I was summoned by the master! - In the preview of episode 2, "Commander", where Horikawa thinks being in his first preview segment with Izuminokami is part of his mission.
- Mutsunokami's reaction when he tries to finish his meal quickly, but he accidentally drinks hot tea and ends up breaking his bowl by accident.
- Mutsunokami asks Tonbokiri what's his favorite food in the middle of a serious conversation with his teammates.
- Mutsunokami & Horikawa are caught off guard by a ronin. When the ronin asks about Horikawa's "weird attire", he plays it off as "a way to trick the enemy" while Mutsunokami's sweating bullets.
- There's a Running Gag in the episode where Horikawa compares Izuminokami and Mutsunokami, and notes how much they're alike. The fact that they can't see it is very hilarious.
- During the preview of the fourth episode, "What I Wanted to Protect", Horikawa and Mutsunokami imitate their teammate's personalities, each to varying degrees of success. It's also a bit Heartwarming in Hindsight, since Mustunokami and Horikawa's seiyuus are friends in real life.
- Mutsunokami asks Izumonokami if he can land a few blows with the blunt sword edge on the pursuing samurai. Cue Izumonokami's objection while he yanks Mutsunokami's collar from behind.
- Izuminokami trying to imitate Hijikata's sitting posture in private. He gets caught by Yagen while he isn't looking.
- When Izumonokami & Yagen go fishing on a bay in the Edo period, a group of passing samurai ask the suspicious pair to come with them to the police station. Izumonokami nonchalantly asks Yagen if they should run or not. Yagen agrees wholeheartedly.
- After Konnosuke manages to obtain a pocket watch for the Second Unit, Mutsunokami and Horikawa assume he also got one for everyone in the team to use for their mission, but sadly, Konnosuke only has the one.
- Mutsunokami squees gleefully when Izumonokami tells him to take control of the ship.
- When Horikawa & Tsurumaru are in the process of getting healed, Horikawa accidentally moves his head & gets scolded by a robot fox healer.
- Tsurumaru gets his face whooped with a tiny bamboo sword. He protests and defiantly wonders why Horikawa didn't get hit, but the healer fox says that Tsurumaru is a serial offender for fidgeting / squirming / moving around during healing.
- Konnosuke, in a serious tone, gives his report during a meeting with six other robot foxes... Which turns out to be a report on fried tofu.
- The next episode preview exchange between Mikazuki and Izuminokami, in which Mikazuki attempts to explain an outdated compliment to Izuminokami.Izuminokami: "Sorry to show up unannounced just now. "
Mikazuki: "Have you shaken off your doubts? "
Izuminokami: "...."
Mikazuki: "If you make such an expression, your handsome face would go to waste. "
Izuminokami: *laugh* "I'm flattered by your praise, but handsome? What era is that from?"
Mikazuki: "Oh, so you don't know, do you, Izuminokami ? The youngins these days call babe magnets, handsome."
Izuminokami: *incredulously* "Are you being serious?"
Mikazuki: *sneezes* "It's a bit chilly. I think I have tissue paper here somewhere." *slides off screen *
Izuminokami: "Ugh. Talking to that guy really throws me off."
The First Unit
- This exchange between Hizamaru & Higekiri:Hizamaru: "To us siblings, this is just a walk in the park. Right, brother?"
Higekiri: "You got that right, uh... Higekiri."
Hizamaru: "My name is Hizamaru! Higekiri is your name, brother!" - Yamanbagiri's lament that he's just a duplicate sword.
- The entirety of the brief socially awkward exchange between Honebami and Yamanbagiri in the next episode preview in which Yamanbagiri acts vaguely Tsundere while praising Honebami. Doubles as Heartwarming Moments.Honebami: "Ashikaga Yoshiteru..."
Yamanbagiri: " ... "
Honebami: " ... "
Yamanbagiri: "Hey. How long are you going to wallow in sentimentality? Say something."
Honebami: "Why don't you say something?"
Yamanbagiri: "I'm not much of a talker."

Yamanbagiri: " Oh - "

Yamanbagiri: "You did great out there."
Honebami: "W-what's this all of a sudden?"
Yamanbagiri: "Well, I thought I should say something as your captain."

Yamanbagiri: *blushing and hiding his face* "Don't expect more from a duplicate like me!"
Honebami: *smiles* "Okay. Sorry."
Protect History
- Yagen gets licked by one of horses during his horsekeeping duty and has to wash his face.
- Mutsunokami's comedic freak out because Izuminokami seemingly left him out and hasn't personally asked him to rejoin the Second Unit yet. Izuminokami, then proceeds to ask Mutsunokami with a straight face to join him, stating matter-of-factly that he does value him as a member of the team.
- While Tonbokiri was recuperating, we see that Mutsunokami gave him some daifuku to enjoy while taking his rest. We're then treated to a short scene of Tonbokiri looking around the room with an exasperated face; everyone gave him nothing but daifuku to eat, if only because they just recently learned that the snack was one of his favorite foods.
Former Master
- This exchange between Mutsunokami & Izumonokami:Mutsunokami: "Okay, then, first let's confirm Ryoma and Miyoshi's escape route."Izumonokami: "Hey, who put you in charge?"Mutsunokami: "Who could do it besides me?"
- Mutsunokami muffling Ryoma Sakamoto's mouth to avoid getting caught, but accidentally almost causing Ryoma to suffocate.Mutsunokami: "Sorry, sorry. I clamped down a little too hard."
Where Loyalty Leads
- After Ryoma sneaks out from the Satsuma residence to watch the plum blossoms in full bloom, the first thing he does during his visit is make an infant laugh by putting on a cheerful expression.
Battle of Hakodate
- Izuminokami and Konnosuke's reaction after Mutsunokami tackles and hugs the Saniwa, since they didn't expect him to embrace their master in the middle of a serious conversation.
