• From the first bar fight:
  Gilhoolie: (picks up a bottle to throw at Donovan)
  Donovan: Not the brandy, you dope!
  Gilhoolie: (puts it back and grabs another) Sorry...
• While Father Clutzoe steps out while Leilani is playing "Frere Jacque" on the piano, she takes a few moments to jazz it up a bit until he returns. Needless to say, he did not appear to happy with the "revised" version.
• Donovan reads back the message to send to Dr. Dedham:
  Donovan: "Doc, Mayday, your Boston dotter here." Dotter, D-O-T-T-E-R.
  Gilhoolie: That's right. Two T's.
  Donovan: Insert name of? Her name's Amelia!
  Gilhoolie: How do I know? I ain't shackin' up with her!
• The reading of the Nativity story during the Christmas mass. Cesar Romero's reading and expressions as he lists the three magi are what sell it.
  • Soon after, a massive rainstorm begins and, courtesy of the leaky roof, nearly everyone pulls out an umbrella while excess runoff continues to just pour down onto Gilhoolie.
• Near the end, after Gilhoolie had insulted the Australian officers, the commander calls in his younger brother to make it a sporting 3-on-3 fight. The younger brother throws the first punch before the explanation is finished.
  • During the fight, Gilhoolie notices a few coins had fallen out of the broken slot machine and immediately drops everything to try and win big.
    • Afterwards, a sailor asks Father Clutzoe if one of the coins on the floor is his. He says no and says that it goes in the "juke box". Not knowing it's a slot machine, Clutzoe inserts the coin, pulls the lever, and hits the jackpot, which finally gives him enough money to both support the poor and replace the chapel's roof.
• Donovan tells Amelia that he loves her for her mean Irish temper, then proceeds to declare he wears the pants in the relationship and gives her a spanking.
