Fridge Brilliance

  • Why are Sunflowers always smiling, regardless of circumstance? Because they have a Sunny Sunflower Disposition.
  • Healing can instantly remove the freezing effects, which makes a lot of sense, but even moreso if said healing is done by a Sunflower.
  • Why does "Highway to the Danger Zone" play when you enter the infinity zone? Because the cutscene has a highway (the path to the portal) to a Danger Zone (The Infinity Zone is the most dangerous zone in game).
  • The final stage of the Wall-nut hills map mirrors the original game: zombies are trying to get into a house.
  • When in the space maps, there's no life sustaining device attached to the plants or zombies. They don't need one, since zombies do not need oxygen at all, and there's plenty solar energy and carbon dioxide for the plants to use.
Fridge Horror
  • The mere portrayal of the long-running fight between plants and zombies as some sort of military war is terrifying enough once you remember what war is typically known for. It could quite possibly remove the black-and-white good vs. evil aspect of the franchise, and send it into more unsettling regions.note
