Throughout the series, Meito Anizawa, among a handful of others, try desperately to sell merchandise, ANY merchandise to Konata. Apparently she's become known as 'The Legendary Girl A' among anime merchants, and it's said that anything she buys or anyone she buys from suddenly gets a spike in popularity. Why? Because anytime Konata is shown buying something or visiting somewhere, it advertises to the fans of Lucky Star. The sudden spikes in popularity are a result of the series itself.
Kagami never gets into the same class as her sister or friends. She wonders if this is because Kuroi-sensei doesn't like her. While she has certainly made disparaging remarks about Kuroi-sensei herself, that the teacher has overheard, there might be another reason. Kuroi would probably be fully aware of the fact that Konata and Tsukasa copy Kagami's homework. She probably sees Kagami as an enabler, and figures having her in the same class as those two would only further their academic indolence.
Konata looks just like her mom...who died early of some unspecified condition. Some fans have thought that Konata's lazy, seemingly carefree approach to life reflects her beliefs about a shortened life expectancy. This condition may have also contributed to Konata's facial features, such as lazy eyes and cat smile. Many theorize they're birth defects, while a few theorize that if Konata were to put her mouth and eyes into normal positions, it would be unbearably painful. Hell, it's even painful for Konata to have her eyes half-open, which is why they're closed in every other panel.
Soujiro occasionally states that he hopes Konata does not die young. He already endured the loss of his wife Kanata. Konata is his only daughter and looks a lot like her mother...
