    Fridge Brilliance
  • The idea of Kira being a DLC only character might cause ire to some fans, or even just an oddity of why he isn't included. That is until you realize that Kira technically is in the game in the form of JoJolion's Josuke.
    • Lessened somewhat with the reveal of Kosaku, who is also Kira, who IS in the base game.
  • Dio treating his son well makes some sense when you think about it. He hated his dad's guts for being an abusive drunk and Dio would often find himself feeling angry whenever he found himself acting similar to his father (for example, drinking when angry), so he might strive to be a good father to his offspring in order to be less like him. Granted, this is Dio, so he'd probably show his concern in really...unusual ways.
  • Funny Valentine's Love Train can block normal projectiles, but not GHAs. While we see both Gyro's Ball Breaker and Johnny's Super Spin breaking through the barrier in part 7, other characters apparently have no such excuse. Until you realize that:
    • Kira's Sheer Heart Attack counts as part of Killer Queen, not as a projectile. Also, his Bite The Dust enters the opponent's retina when he/she sees it, allowing it to bypass the barrier completely.
    • Caesar uses the light reflected from both the bubbles ("Here's a new use for this!") and Love Train, trapping Funny Valentine.
    • Hol Horse also uses the retina stunt via the Hanged Man, distracting Valentine long enough for a opening with the Emperor.
    • Keicho tricks Funny into stepping on a landmine.
    • The most glaring example is Mista's, where the only thing that allows Sex Pistols's bullets to break through Love Train is via raw sheer force. Every time Funny Valentine deflects the bullets away from him, the Pistols can force them back towards their original target.
    • Pesci's fishing line is fully controllable by him, meaning that it cannot be easily deflected.
    • Risotto Nero overwhelms Funny with his scalpels, and then uses Metallica to form razor blades inside Funny's body, bypassing Love Train's barrier.
    • F.F.'s bullet is made out of her own plankton. Even then, it's just a distraction that allows her copy to grab Valentine from behind.
  • Iggy being later DLC and not part of the base game's initial roster references how he didn't actually join the good guys until well into Part 3.
    • Conversely, Fugo being DLC references how he doesn't stick with Passione at half point of Part 5.
  • Yoshikage Kira's Another One Bites The Dust rewinds time to where he needs it to be. While this is vastly inferior to both Dio's World and Diavolo's King Crimson, this allows Kira to rewind events where he is at a disavantage. While this may sound useless, Giorno Giovanna, Final Pucci, Kars, Both Jonathan Joestars and Funny Valentine use moves that gives them special ways to fight against their foes. One Bites the Dust later and not only Kira is healed, but the various characters have to regain their special ways.
  • Baoh hunts down and kills those with murderous intent. Josuke is one of the kindest people out there and hardly has such a intent. In a Baoh vs Josuke match, Baoh is attacking Josuke due to how bad his hair smells.
    • Baoh fights Josuke precisely because he has a murder record if we count Angelo's and Terunosuke's respective fates as murders.
  • Giorno's Gold Experience Requiem has the power to maintain status within a single timeframe. As such, any attempt to speed up time or outright stop it will not work. However, any attempt to rewind time to where Gold Experience Requiem hasn't happened or lock Gold Experience within a time loop will work.
  • If Kira or Kosaku fight at the Kira Estate, the stage hazard will be missing. Yoshihiro Kira probably doesn't want to risk hurting his son by accident.
    • Likewise, Dolphin State Prison's Situation/Dramatic Finish (Whitesnake stealing the loser's Stand Disc) won't trigger if Pucci is the loser, as it wouldn't make sense for his own Stand to attack him.
  • The subtitle for this game is kinda clever, if you think about it. This is the first game to have all Joestars that battle each other (sans Jump Super Stars where most Joestars were used as assists).
  • Wamuu and Risotto Nero can both turn invisible through different methods (the former uses a suit made of wind to deflect light away from himself, the latter uses magnetism to cover himself in a reflective coat of iron dust), making them immune to most normal projectiles (but not HHAs and GHAs, due to gameplay balance reasons). However, there's certain normal projectiles that can bypass one skill, but not the other. Caesar's Bubble Cutters are attracted to Wamuu because of the wind currents created by his armor and, due to their shape, can penetrate it; however, they aren't attracted to Metallica's magnetism, allowing Risotto to simply dodge the attack. Meanwhile, Avdol, Mariah and Narancia have the opposite problem: they all have ways to detect invisible enemies, note  but can't get through Wamuu's armor.
  • Out of the 12 characters that can enter Stand Barrage, seven of them are the Joestars. The only Joestar that can't enter this state is Joseph. Why? Because rather than raw power and strength, Joseph loves to use cunning tactics and distractions, something which is represented in the movesets of both his Battle Tendency self as well as his Hermit Purple-powered Stardust Crusaders self.
  • Part 2 Joseph Joestar's Taunt Special doesn't work on Wonder of U for a number of reasons.
    • Since Stands are introduced in Part 3, it make sense that Joseph can't see the stands just yet, similar to the Pillar Men who can't see the stands but can feel their presence.
    • Since Tooru is not fighting but rather his stand, Joseph can't read his true opponent's mind as he was just taunting Tooru's Stand, not him.
    • When Joseph tried to predict Wonder of U's line, he came up with nothing because Wonder of U was going to say nothing and be completely silent. But instead of realizing that he successfully predicted his opponent's silence, Joseph misread the situation and instead thought that Wonder of U just spaced out for a moment.
  • Wonder of U doesn't fall for Joseph's "Your next line is gonna be" trick, but he does taunt Part 4 Josuke about his hair. Makes sense: aside for being The Stoic, Wonder of U's ability triggers when the opponent pursues him, but doesn't work if the Stand is the one coming towards the opponent and they react in self-defense. Wonder frequently provokes its opponents to trick them into pursuing it, and is smart enough to avoid falling for their provocations.

    Fridge Horror
  • Every time Funny Valentine uses Love Train to block a projectile, a random innocent person on the other side of the world dies.
