Fridge / Austin & Ally

Fridge Brilliance

  • The theme song "Without You" appears to just be about Ally, but it shows he can't do it without all his friends, saying "You're my point note , you're my guard note , you're the perfect chord note ".
  • Ally's president of the mall merchants' association. But this basically involves acting as moderator at their meetings for no pay, so it's quite possible that nobody else wanted the job and Ally realized it'd look good on a college application.
  • Austin's song in "Albums & Auditions" is pretty different (more boy band-ish) from most of the songs he's sung before. Why? Because Ally was busy getting ready to go to that music school in New York, so she probably didn't write it. It was likely from someone at the record label.
  • It's revealed in "Filmmaking & Fear Breaking" that Austin has a fear of umbrellas because the handle of one got hooked in his pants and made him lose them when he was young. Dez was there that day but not present when Austin lost his pants. This would explain the Running Gag of Dez offering Austin his pants- he feels guilty about not being there to help his friend and is over-compensating as a result.
  • Austin seems to have a lot of adult fans. He also still goes to regular school and hangs out in a mall music store open to the public without being shredded to bits by squeeing fangirls. In-story, he's more of a Quinn Sullivan or pre-"Cool Kids" Echosmith, a teenage artist whose style doesn't particularly appeal to the mainstream of his age group. (Only problem is that what's heard in the show is pure Disney pop!)
  • "Relationships and Red Carpets" has Jimmy Starr saying Austin can't have a girlfriend, even though he knew that, at one point, Austin was dating Kira, Jimmy's daughter. So why does Jimmy suddenly say it when Austin is dating Ally? It's not for the sake of Austin's popularity, but rather, it's to avoid any complicated publicity involved with Austin, signed by Jimmy Starr, dating Ally, who was signed by Ronnie Ramone, a competitor to Starr Records.
  • In "Santas & Surprises", no one took Dez seriously when he promised Lily that Santa can bring her dad as opposed to comforting her, because Dez constantly makes dumb mistakes such as making unrealistic assumptions a lot. However, it was established in "Bloggers & Butterflies" that Dez is a man of his word, and once he made that promise to Lily, he did everything he could with Santa to make good on that promise.
