A 1998 American Indie Black Comedy written and directed by Mark Weidman that has four outlaw filmmakers (Tod Thawley, Christian Leffler, Emmett Grennan, and Creighton Howard) willing to kill to make a movie.

The movie also stars Kathleen Macdonald, Fred Dennis, Virgil Frye, Kareem Oliver, and Kyle Van Horne.

Tropes for the film:

  • In-Universe Camera: The main characters are a quartet of filmmakers who exist within the fictional world of the exploitation film that they are creating. The cameraman "One Eye" is usually the shooting that the viewer sees, but sometimes he appears in frame as well.
  • No Fourth Wall: The movie is built around this trope. The characters are all filmmakers who reside in the film they are creating. They try to make it as violent, sexy, and exploitative as possible so they can sell it and earn lots of cash.
  • Show Within a Show: The four indie filmmakers creating a schlock exploitation film called Killer Flick. They reside within the film would they're creating, so the viewer sees them shooting scenes as they happen and writing plot points that come to pass.
  • Tagline: "Because they'd kill to make a movie!".
