Eloise At Christmastime is a 2003 Canadian-American made-for-TV movie, based on the Kay Thompson Eloise book series, and while able to be watched as a standalone, is marketed as a sequel to Eloise at the Plaza. The film follows the adventures of six-year-old Eloise (Sofia Vassilieva), who lives at the Plaza Hotel with her beloved Nanny (Julie Andrews) and annoys the concierge, Mr. Salomone (Jeffrey Tambor). In Eloise At Christmastime, Eloise struggles to get Christmas presents for LITERALLY EVERYBODY at the Plaza, while also trying to get her two best friends to follow their romantic dreams.

This film provides examples of:

  • All for Nothing: Nanny helps Eloise out from the basement, but they are too late to stop the wedding themselves as Bill shows up to interrupt it.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Eloise is thrilled when it starts to snow and hopes it keeps snowing for her mother's arrival. Then she gets a phone call from her mother explaining that because of the snow, her flight's been cancelled.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Eloise; just like in Eloise at the Plaza, somewhat averted by the fact that she means no harm, but much of her behaviour is consistently annoying, disruptive and rude.
  • Gift-Giving Gaffe: Eloise gives gifts to everybody at the Plaza, from the chef to random guests.
  • The Jeeves: Mr. Salomone, but he's a bit less featured in this film than in the last.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: The man Eloise is suspicious of in the lobby. He's not actually up to no good but rather a detective from the FBI investigating Brook.
  • Shipper on Deck: Eloise is a big one for Rachel and Bill and schemes to get them together.
  • We Sell Everything: As a form of business promotion, Toys R' Us is featured prominently while Eloise is shopping. The character makes sure to remind viewers that Toys R' Us not only sells toys, but the best abundance of them and is therefore the place that all prospective viewers of the film should be begging their parents to visit at Christmastime.
