BobInTheComments (Author)

  • Recommended by: 80hg
  • Comments: The author's first story [1] shows their development. At first, it looks like it's the typical Heroes of Olympus fanfic but it quickly escalates from that to something TRULY special. Something that I guarantee is nothing like the fandom has ever seen before.

cruelhighways (Author)

  • Recommended by dolphinleo
  • Comments: Cruelhighways does a lot of alternate universe fics in the Percy Jackson series. They're all very heart breaking and as someone who doesn't like au fics very much, this is the rare author that created an au fic that made me invested in the world as well as the characters.

IzzyMRDB (Author)

  • Recommended by Belle Rosa B
  • Comments: Izzy MRDB does a lot of Oneshots in the Percy Jackson series, but also has a few alternate universe fics around novel-length. They're very angsty, but there's definitely some great cracky ones. They made me care about the gods and their perspectives on the series.

Percy Jackson Fanfiction Wiki (Website)

  • Comments: This is a very active site. The stories are much, much better than most of the crap you'll find on fanfiction.net - in fact, a lot of them are good enough to be published! The users are much nicer, with not a single troll or flamer (and any trolls or flamers that do come will be banned very quickly). If they don't like something about your story, they'll give you friendly, polite CC. Currently there are over 300 original, well-written stories. There's something in it for pretty much everyone, and I can almost guarantee that you'll love it.

Worldbuilding: SpaceBattles RiordanVerse (Website)

  • Recommended by: Orion Ultor
  • Comments: A worldbuilding thread, where the goal is to totally rewrite and overhaul of the series that uses the framework of the various series provided by Riordan and the IRL-mythologies themselves, building on top of it to help keep it more…consistent.
    • Or where; Belief is reality and Reality is belief, Olympian Propaganda is rampant and the world houses far more than just the Egyptian, Hellenic, and Norse Pantheons.

    General Fics

I May Be A Dumbass, But I'm Not Stupid![2] by [3]

  • Recommend by: [Belle Rosa B]
  • Status: Incomplete
  • Synopsis: Percy may be oblivious, but he eventually figures out that something up when the fish start talking. And when the only available conclusion to all the evidence he's gathered is that he's the son of a god, what will he do?
  • Comments: Every time I reread this fic, I wonder what the author is going to throw in with worldbuilding and mythological lore. They rewrite the story to show more human elements to the gods' side of the story, without diminishing the Generational Trauma that is caused by them. Percy feels a lot more like your average kid, they point out how much he is basically a baby at the time of TLT, and how he grows up. Fun original take on Percy Jackson, without dismissing Greek Mythology. Really long, at nearly 100k words, and the author is still active.

Percy Jackson: An Age Gone [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12399886/1/Percy-Jackson-An-Age-Gone-By)) by [[iJustASimpleWriter1]]

  • Recommend by : [lepedius101]
  • Status:Incomplete
Synopsis:Long ago, in the time of Alexander the Great, the maiden Goddess Artemis finds herself watching over the Macedonian expedition. She journeyed far into the rugged and arid lands of Asia, which lay beyond the rule of the Greek Gods. In her observations, she found one individual far more interesting than any other. This is her tale of adventure, friendship, and love: all for Perseus.
  • Comments: This fic is truly amazing. It is free of many of the flaws and cliches of many other poj fics. I was skeptical at first because of the main ship. But all my doubts where proven wrong. The story and romance is great, the world building of other mythologies is solid. And the side characters such as Zoe and other oc hunters are all wonderfully realized.

Shattered by [4]

  • Recommended by: 80hg
  • Status: Complete, with spinoff fics
  • Synopsis: The world is hardly ever what it seems. We've seen our heroes fight monsters, gods, Titans, and even the very Earth itself. But there were rules and procedures to be followed. A clearly defined path to victory. Now the enemy has no limits, no safeties, no restraints. Mortals aren't as blind and powerless as the gods seem to think...
  • Comments: Good God, that story was intense. At first, the quality doesn't seem to be promising but as I read through, this story makes everything else in the fandom pale in comparison. The plot is COMPLETELY original, the characters true to the books, a dark explanation that sheds light on things the books have left in the dark that are surprisingly realistic and believable. It's very long though, with 105 chapters.
  • It now has a TV Tropes page as well!

Broken Bow by Xed Alpha (link)

  • Recommended by: Holylight88, Ronnie R15, tvtropesnoob, KrSpaceT, Geek Code Red, Nroque 18
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: An old fool's vengeance forces Apollo to keep a huge and possibly devastating secret from Artemis for over a decade, a deception that she may never be able to forgive him for.
  • Notes: Winner of the Veritas OC award.
  • Comments: An old cliché that, for once, doesn't suck. Child of Artemis stories are usually very bad indeed, but this story is a shining example of one of the few ways a child of Artemis story can be done and done well. the OC, Armani, is very well-written and serves as an example of a well-defined character. His flaws and powers are well balanced, and the author managed to make the reader sympathize with him through the whole story, even when he is not being entirely reasonable. The author's grammar isn't perfect, but it's been revamped, and the plot more than makes up for this.
    • Thirded by tvtropesnoob. Extremely tight and entertaining writing, standing very much in contrast to most fanfics.
    • Fourthed by KrspaceT. This is the one fanfiction that I actually see on par with canon, and if Rick decided to adopt just one fanfic into the official PJ world, I'd want it to be this one over the ones I've written myself.
  • Has a trope page here.

Three by icy roses

  • Recommended by: USA Bobcat
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: One life is not enough for love; Percy and Annabeth try for the Isles of the Blest, but it seems that fate is not always kind to them.
  • Comments: Simple as the author's description reads, Percy and Annabeth go for reincarnation after the events of the books. Each life (save for the third one) is a self-contained chapter, and while not as long as the books, it proves fascinating. A read that will keep you up from start to finish, tantalizing you until you complete it.

Blackened Dawn by Svren

  • Recommended by: Sarius
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: History has a way of repeating itself. As Erebus, he had been the villain; as Thanatos, he was Death's charismatic right-hand; and as Percy, he was the lauded hero... until the gods threw him into Tartarus. When Gaea ascends in power, the Olympians desperately seek help in the form of an unknown entity—one that knows them better than they know themselves.
  • Comments: Easily one of the best fics I've EVER read. Has characters from the Blood of Olympus series, with Reyna being who Percy is going to end up with, HOWEVER, the romance takes a major backseat to the rest of the story. Warning however: This fanfic is DARK, opening with Percy having horrific nightmares about the people he loves dying horrifically, then Annabeth is drugged and date raped, with the bonus of Percy mistaking it for consensual sex and subsequently abandoning her - which leads to him being captured and tortured for nearly a year before the story really takes off.

Palace of Memory by Scion of Kushiel

  • Recommended by: Unclouded TJ, cedarleaf
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Unable to sleep, Percy, age 20, decides to finally ask his father some hard questions, never thinking that the answers might surprise him.
  • Comments: A nice post-series one-shot that looks at what the world looks like four years later from Percy's point of view. It has wonderful characterization and despite how short it is has a very nice feel to it.
    • Seconded by cedarleaf. Wonderfully insightful into the relationship between Percy and his parents, both sad and sweet.

Yesterday's Feelings by dnrl

  • Recommended by: Halinmonk
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: She is one day from sixteen for all the days of her life. Thalia's story.
  • Comments: Tear Jerkingly beautiful, as the details of Thalia's life from six years old to 16. Touchingly sweat, chillingly dark, heart breakingly honest. There is not better look into the mind of the Daughter Of Zeus. Completely cannon to, with the exception of a single scene due to this being written pre-The Last Olympian.

Nico di Angelo: Boy, Uninterrupted by Mission to Marzipan

  • Recommended by: threaderofink, K the Cloud
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Scenes from The last Olympian from Nico's point of view. Shows more on the type of relationship Nico has with his father.
  • Comments: I liked it because you don't get to see a lot about Nico's struggle to gain his father's approval, to get him to join the fight or to find out more about his mother.

To Be a Tree by la Belle Luna Claire

  • Recommended by: patriciarakel
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: Chronicles of Thalia Grace's life after she was turned into a tree by her father, Zeus, and how she is still conscious within, listening to all the happenings of the camp.
  • Comments: A very interesting story that seems impossible. How could someone write in the point of view of a tree? But that's exactly what Trisha, the author, manages to do. The fic itself jumps around in chapter length (which Trisha chalks up to half being written longhand and half written on the computer), but even with its relative shortness, it's heartwarming and sweet.

Fading Yesterdays by percabeth777

  • Recommended by Cedarleaf
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A short ficlet about early in Thalia's life.
  • Comments: Focusing mostly on Thalia's love and care of Jason, and the subsequent fallout of his "death", this fic is cute, heartwarming, and incredibly sad all in the same moment.

Six Times Poseidon Visited by alwaysuptonogood

  • Recommended by: Fambera
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Six times Poseidon openly checked on his son whilst he was growing up. After all — he was just checking that he was safe...
  • Notes: Has a sequel, Six and a Half More Times Poseidon Visited.
  • Comments: This is a really cute pre-series story with a nice portrayal of Poseidon's relationship with Sally and Percy.

Mortals by just.a.little.too.obsessed

  • Recommended by: Cool Nick Nack
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Bret is a mortal who has a crush on Annabeth, then he becomes a creepy stalker when he finds out she is dating Percy. His POV.
  • Comments: We can see and understand his entire thought process. It is interesting to see how he rations out everything while completely being oblivious to his own actions.

Annabeth Chase VS The Internet by ithinkabouttrees

  • Recommended by: Crunchyrocks
  • Status: Dead (last updated March 2017)
  • Synopsis: The head councilors of each cabin are given a special reward; laptops! But what happens when someone with all the wisdom in the world runs into something with no wisdom at all? Hilarity, that's what.
  • Comments: What started out as an X meets Y fic has quickly turned into a charming comedy fic from the POV of Annabeth about her life as a normal teen hanging out with her friends. The characterization is very good, the shipping is there but not a main plot point, lots of continuity nods, and plenty of internet memes used in a way that isn't stupid or over bearing. Really makes you want to hang out at Half Blood. Still in progress, and in it's early stages.

Camp Half Blood: Rebellion by singer22498 & DuchessDerp

  • Recommended by: Penzy
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: The gods think they no longer need our kind. We are their children, their flesh and blood. They betrayed us. It is our time to fight back.
  • Comments: The story blends a good amount of realism versus the fantasy of the Percy Jackson stories. The plot is rather original, and while shipping is present it's kept at a minimum compared to the rest of the story.

The Jackson Legacy by notyourleo (link)

  • Recommended by: laurellight
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: His name is not Peter Blofis. He's not mortal. He's not really Percy Jackson's younger brother. He's definitely not forced on a complicated quest to find his missing brother. And we're definitely sure Percy Jackson is not dead yet.
  • Comments: Post-Heroes of Olympus. Be prepared to laugh, cry and stare, and meet a lot of the good ol' favorites!

The Perseus Attraction by There She Goes And Shes Comin

  • Recommended by: BDLG, K the Cloud
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: Percy was just a normal guy. Well, he thought he was. Turns out he has some weird aura that makes him really attractive (aptly called the Perseus Attraction.) Throw in a running gag that satyrs suck, a love-crazed Annabeth, a quirky, goof guy (who is supposed to be a bad guy) Luke, and you have a parody that takes the books, rips them apart and takes a pop at modern culture at the same time.
  • Comments: Very smartly written. See the +1,600 reviews (as of 42 chapters/ 3 Seasons) and a Phoenix Award Nomination for further details. Set out in Seasons, beginning with The Lightning Thief.
    • Unlike some parodies out there in that it will actually make you laugh. The author mixes popular culture with good writing and characters you genuinely care about to make the best parody in PJO Fanfiction. (It actually comes up on Google!) And it has a perverted Mr D, so that's always good. Rated T for some sexual themes and bad language.

Blood and Sand by o Mischief Managed

  • Recommended by: cinderscoria
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Post-Heroes of Olympus. Ten months after the Giant War, Rachel's new prophecy warns of an end to the fragile peace the world has finally won. Nico di Angelo is sent to investigate, and never returns to camp. And to top it off, the whole of Camp Jupiter vanishes in a cloud of darkness. Suddenly graduation is the least of Annabeth's worries.
  • Notes: Has a sequel, The War of Shadows, and a collection of side-stories, Dusk to Dawn.
  • Comments: Slightly AU as of House of Hades, but nothing glaring. Wonderfully in character, juggles four different POVs well. Read like a Riordan book—and ends on a cliffhanger. Lovely.

Son of the Western Sea by Mac Ceallach (link)

  • Recommended by: Paladin Anderson, Ravaelt, Dame-Amaryllis
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: All myths are true. Outside the borders of Western Civilization lies the rest of the world. After the Second Olympian War, a restless Percy Jackson sails for the horizon and never stops. AU after The Last Olympian. Percy x various mythological figures, het and slash.
  • Comments: The best thing about this story? Percy isn't betrayed by the Olympians. Annabeth doesn't cheat on him. No overdone cliches here.
  • Seconded by Vajra Yaksa, Sot WS is a recent discovery, and it's greatest flaw is the slow update rate. Seeing Percy able to live a life free of the Olympians' interference and just follow his heart, wherever it leads him, is such a breath of fresh air. All of the "OCs" are very entertaining too, and grown up Percy is such a sweet guy.

Son of the Sea God by Sassenach082

  • Recommended by: BoxyP, redmockingbord
  • Status: Dormant; last updated February 2018
  • Synopsis: AU. Zeus kills Sally Jackson with his master bolt when Percy is six months old, drastically changing Percy's life and the course of his future.
  • Comments: The story is a Poseidon-raises-Percy story, and so far, it’s pretty much brimming with cuteness, since Percy isn’t old enough for Camp Half-Blood yet, though the author has stated that it will happen. A surprisingly effective aspect of it is little Percy’s relationship with Uncle Hades, which never fails to entertain.
    • Seconded by redmockingbird, for pretty much the same reasons as BoxyP. Also, the familial relations between Amphitrite, Triton, and Percy are believably (and adorably) handled.

The Death God Alliance by Asilda (link)

  • Recommended by: The White Knight, cedarleaf, Ronnie R15
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: "Sorry," said the son of Hades, "but if I surrendered to an organization called the House of Life, my dad would kill me." After a run in with the Kanes, Nico unwittingly ends up becoming a host for the Egyptian death god Anubis.
  • Comments: An amazing fic which combines the aspects of both series fabulously. With serious action and some rare but uproariously funny humor, this is my second all-time favorite fic.
    • Seconded by cedarleaf. This troper was completely blown away by how outrageously awesome this story is and read the entire thing in one sitting because it's just that good. Characterizations are spot on, the action is engaging, conflicts are complex, and if you're not laughing at least thrice a chapter, then you need a new sense of humor. There isn't a single thing about this fic I don't recommend.

Percy's Bullies by Liana Legaspi

  • Recommended by: Neko-chan
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A collection of one-shots focusing on Percy's bullies.
  • Comments: An well-done fic, seen from the perspective of background characters and characters that may not be typically well-liked by many readers. The author has a refined writing style, exploring the backgrounds of each character and allows the reader to sympathize them.

rise up by jabbrjays

  • Recommended by: gloriouspond
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Zoë Nightshade is ascendant. Sanctified, albeit in the pagan sense. She is legendary, in that she is the stuff of legends—Perseus Jackson and Annabeth Chase and Grover will speak of her, and every Hunter from now until the end of the world will know her name. And the platitude that people spout is a half-truth—she is in a better place. Zoe-centric fic that takes place post-The Titan's Curse.
  • Comments: This fic made me cry four paragraphs into reading it, I'm not even kidding. Zoe's characterisation is on point, and the fic references mythology well enough to know that the author knows what they're doing. A really well done, well thought out fic.

Faded by OriksGaming

  • Recommended by: ANewPokemon
  • Status: Dormant; last updated January 2018
  • Synopsis: Gaea isn’t defeated and, consequently, gods and demigods are hunted down indiscriminately. As per usual, Percy Jackson’s there to save the day, by going back via an undisclosed — because he doesn’t trust the readers in the slightest — method of time travel and fixing everything he can think of on his way to prevent the Greek apocalypse.
  • Comments: A very interesting story, one of the best- probably the best Percy Jackson time travel fic to date. The writing is excellent, aside from a couple — hardly any, really — awkward lines due to the author being unsure of what tense to use; he’s admitted in his author’s notes that many of the chapters were written late at night and that he’s working on editing out those minor errors. The pairing is Percy and Artemis, though the focus certainly isn’t on romance, and the story hasn't even reached that point yet. Percy's characterization is on point — the fic is written in the first person and really captures the style and feel of the original series. His powers are well balanced and it’s evident that he has flaws — he’s not some super perfect manifestation of a primordial who everyone automatically likes. The only semi-major problem with the story, overall, is that — and this is something that the author has readily admitted to — the fight scenes really aren’t that great. Faded is currently active and updated semi-regularly. Definitely recommended for anyone with the slightest interest in Percy Jackson time travel fanfics.
    • KrspaceT I'd have to disagree, it really isn't all that good of a fic or on characterization.

Percy Jackson and the Daughter of Zeus by Dawnbreaker23

  • Recommended by: Nerdman3000
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A Greek goddess' reckless gamble results in the death of a beloved daughter of Athena. Thalia Grace, devastated, embarks on a dangerous quest to avenge her friend's death. 23-year-old Percy Jackson, though grieving and out of practice, must step in to stop the increasingly unhinged (and extremely powerful) daughter of Zeus from succumbing to her darkest, most chaotic impulses. AU.
  • Comments: So I just finished reading this, and it may be not only be my favorite Percy Jackson fanfic story I've ever read, but among my favorite fanfics ever period, and I've been reading fanfiction obsessively for over a decade. Starring Percy and Thalia in the role of duel protagonists, the writing and characterizations in this story are high quality and top notch. It perfectly deals with themes ranging from everything from grief, loss, acceptance, and most of all, tragedy. I don't think I can highly recommend a story enough as much as I do this one, although I should warn you, there are spoilers for the newest Riordanverse books, specifically Trials of Apollo.

  • Synopsis: She swore she would remain ever chaste. Her decision never bothered her ... until she met him. The story of Artemis and Orion the Hunter.
  • Pairing: Artemis/Orion
  • Comments: A beautiful reinvention of the Orion myth that reads as if it could actually have happened in the canon universe. The romance is both believable and heartbreaking, as it's a Foregone Conclusion for the reader about what will inevitably happen to Orion in the end, but it's definitely worth a read.

  • Synopsis: After living in the Underworld for three years following Gaea’s defeat, Nico decides to construct a new life for himself in Venice, Italy. While studying at the local university he develops a somewhat reluctant friendship with another student, who turns his life upside-down.
  • Pairing: Nico/OC
  • Comments: A well-written and tightly-plotted continuation fic. Everyone is their canonical selves, and we get to explore just how Nic feels about his old crush Percy. Too many original characters paired with Nico are Relationship Sues: Dante avoids that by being a well-fleshed out, flawed and likable character.

Let the Words Fall Together by Marine_is_Hope

  • Synopsis: Names are powerful. Names can change a person's fate within seconds. Annabeth learned this the moment that Percy Jackson's name began to appear on her arm. Percy learned this the moment they kissed. Yet something was missing. After Gaea's defeat, Nico di Angelo disappeared, until suddenly he was back, bleeding and broken. Perhaps, just this once, the demigods can rule over their fate. Perhaps, they can make their own path towards completion.
  • Pairing: Percy/Annabeth/Nico
  • Comments: When romance is felt, bonds are formed. This is a story of bonds old and new and how they come to terms with them.

Dark Phoenix by Lightningscar

  • Recommended by: eduardogranja
  • Status: Active
  • Crossover with: Harry Potter
  • Synopsis: "This camp isn't for me. I don't belong." A few years after Nico said this, some Campers apparently agreed. Will Nico find a new home at Hogwarts or will he meet rejection there as well? Will he even want to return to Camp Half-Blood when they need him?
  • Comments: Out of the many PJO/HP crossovers out there, this is the best one this troper have read. The writing is consistent (even with quite a few typos) and the author has a good pace. It's also one of the only ones that use the roman characters like Jason and Hazel
    • While it's certainly not the worst HP crossover this troper has read, this definitely does not rank well. The writing can be terribly awkward, with inconsistent uses of contraction and the apparent need to make Nico talk formally, everyone is at least a little OOC, Nico solves a lot of problems that happened in Order of the Phoenix and experiences no moral dissonance from being so afraid of becoming evil that a boggart becomes an evil him from the future (which seems to be an odd choice as in PJ-canon Nico displays basically no evil tendencies) and remorselessly using his powers to terrorize malfoy. Also, Nico teaches fighting wrong. It's not a terrible fic if you're dying for your HP/PJ fix, but this troper doesn't see why it made this list.

  • Synopsis: The Golden Trio had just gone through Cedric Diggory's death and survived the Triwizard Tournament, so when the school year begins again, they only expect the same old jeers from Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson. However, when they come back they are surprised to learn that others have prepared for the rise of Voldemort... or to cover up his return. Nico's father, Hades, decided that he can't let Voldemort cheat death, especially when the Dark Lord is a loser. So, Nico is sent to protect Harry and quicken up the pace to defeat Voldemort. Joining him are two new demigods to help him understand the wizarding world as they return to their roots. However, things become a bit harder for Nico to complete his mission once he gets sorted into Slytherin...
  • Comments: Set during Order of the Phoenix and after The Blood of Olympus while ignoring The Trials of Apollo. Crossover plots of Nico being sent to Hogwarts to destroy Voldemort's horcruxes are fairly common, It's hard to find ones that are both good and aren't dormant or dead. This is one of the few that is well written and updates on a semi-regular basis. The author has put a lot of effort into making sure everyone is close to their canon personalities, and the attention shows. The two Original Characters, twin children of Ares whose mother was a witch, are Nico's guides to the Wizarding World and also manage to be really likeable on their own as well. The author also spends a large portion of the fic having Nico slowly chipping away at the blood purist mentality within Slytherin, and gives lots of focus and development to characters who were only ever mentioned in the books.

So he provides Tony with a file on a man he believes would be an excellent bodyguard for Iron Man, and for sniffing out HYDRA agents. Why should Tony trust this guy, especially when he does not trust Fury in the first place? Well because he is an ex-SHIELD agent who quit after cursing in Fury's face when nobody would believe his warnings that HYDRA had infiltrated SHIELD . . .

Who is it?

One Percy Jackson.

  • Comments: Percy, having been a pretty smart hero, navigates his way around this unfamiliar world well. Things escalate quickly. His leadership skills shine in this story. It also gets really dark, but not to the point where it feels sick. It's interesting enough that I spent the whole day reading it from start to finish - or at least, to the 3.7 mark. I can't wait for the next part.

An Undertow of Sand

  • Reccomended by: Qrow
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Crossover With: The Cthulhu Mythos
  • Synopsis: "A half-blood child of the eldest gods, shall reach sixteen against all odds." Who decided the sons of Kronos met the criteria? There are older gods. Elder Gods. Percy is the Child of Prophecy, but his very existence is a flaw. An anomaly. A bend in Fate. And if Fate can bend, then it can break.
  • Comments: Basically, Percy's mother is an Elder God. Known to the Greek Pantheon as Ananke, the personification of Fate, Necessity, and Inevitability, but known by some very different names to others. Most pertinently Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos. A lot of lore that re-writes elements of the history of canon, and seemlessly blends two cosmos together very well. Dispite how it sounds, this is not a horror fic, and is much closer in tone to Riordan's works then Lovecraft's.

  • Comments: Set at the start of The Lightning Thief. Maruki sent the Phantom Thieves to Camp Half-Blood's world. The power of their Personas makes them seen as demigods under the new world's rule. After learning that a certain young demigod is treated as a scapegoat for the disappearance of Zeus's lightning, the Thieves help him and his friends from the shadows to battle this great injustice.

Actually… now that she thinks about it, the man may have had a point in his worries.Wayne Technologies does not accept college interns. Annabeth always has a plan B.
  • Comments: I always feel like most crossover fanfics focus on either Percy or Nico, however this is entirely Annabeth centric. It's very satisfying to read and the characterization for her are perfect.

He looks small, for the end of the world.
  • Comments: An excellent emmotional telling of the story. It's a minor alternate universe, all things considered. Percy is thirteen at the start of the story, instead of the college age he usually is during a crossover. It mostly focuses on the emotional impact of different events.

  • Synopsis: an au in which Annabeth is a mob boss and Percy is her ocean photographer boyfriend.
  • Comments: This AU is an extremely well written series of One-Shots. Annabeth comes off as extermely ruthless, yet at the same time compassionate towards her loved ones. Charles Beckendorf is her most trusted liutenant, and most of the demigods appear in some appropriate way.

we could walk straight through hell (with a smile)

  • Recommended by: Phrophetsam

  • Synopsis: The titans have won the war, the child of the prophecy was killed, and what remains of the demigod alliance is hidden underground. Many believe that the great prophecy was false, and that another will be revealed in time, but the sudden introduction of a new face throws everything into question all over again.
  • Comments: What if Kronos won? This fic deals with that question. In this fic, the camps knew about their roman/greek counterparts, the demigods are only safe underground, and the stakes are higher than they ever were. The gods are dead, the only ones left fighting are those they left behind. This fic goes through a lot of different twists and turns, sticking with canon in some parts and throwing it out the window in others. The relationships and characters are well done, and very much in-character for most of them. There's an aura of despair that follows the story and you can't help but feel like the world here may be a little grimdark compared to other fics.
